It didn't rain today while I was making love to bike, but it started to, once I finished.

Popstar, Pal you may need help ? sorry to inform you but the bike is not alive :D

Anyone up for a ride Sat 21st ? did offer while back but thought would remind , thinking of linking Leith to Holmbury and pitch. ideally in morning, for say 4 or 5 hours.

Off to Wales Thursday and the weather looks good so should be a top day.

Maybe if Cooldad wants to go, I'm sure he'll be around later.

A Richard special - why not, nothing like a bit of pain and suffering.

I'm fine as long as you can get out.

Cooldad ?!?? Rad to the power of Apple Crumble? That must have been Welsh dragon's milk playing trick with your poor mind. That is some signature :D !

Looks like not only me who went mad.

I'll choose not put too much stake into someone's opinion who is admittingly terrible though

Richard, I have been brain washed and since then went totally crazy. Trails would never be the same again. But mentally I am allright, and actually I even could join you 19th in Cwmcarn and 21st for whichever rad ride you throw.

I really need to relax and let my brains rest, anyway wednesday ride will make my brains rest for sure. Riding classics of SH with work mates, so all should be easy mode.

Popstar, were going this Thursday the 12th and Going to Afan, going to do the best 2 trails there ( in my opinion ) Whites level and Skyline July . be leaving around 6am to give us plenty of time prior to rush hour.
21st will be cool will think about best place to park( probably westcott ). The ride should be a little less technical and will take in some wicked natural single track and then the bits you guys know on holmbury etc.

Arghh then its a miss for Cwmcarn then, never the less hope to build up fitness to match you and not drag the whole group on uphills.

Not really an issue go at whatever pace is needed.I'm not fit just been riding a long time and my muscles don't hurt as bad as they used too :D Trust me I used to push everywhere.....whilst trying to breath out of my arse

Or you could, just buy a heavy bike and pedal harder :D or as some of my mates would say "strap it on and man up" :D

Richard - I'm fairly sure Skyline was closed when we went up last week (if that's the one that forks off from Whytes at the top of the hill)

Cheers, had alook on the MTB wales site and it says that it is closed Sat 17th for a race other wise open, so should be ok. If not we might have to do the wall which will be disappointing as only really like the last section and i belive the penhyd is still closed for work.
Oh well can''t really complain as they are good trails.

But there are some new 4X trail being built for -Naked Race- , and from last visit as i remember at the end of Wall trail it looked like those whoops in Westcott. Awesome stuff.

Stopped at Log site at the end of -Graveyard- and had a chat with ladiez there, sexy beasts they were, and very chatty too. Pointed that trail to me  .

Not a Nokia guy by any chance?

Not that it's fair to stereotype all people called Juha from Finland as being employed by Nokia, but I know a lot of them! (but then I'm working for Nokia at the moment so hard to avoid). :D

Got me :) Coming for the Nokia World to London :)

Juha if my shifts allow me to join you, I most probably will. Think my wife's Hardrock will be back from France 23rd or so , which is used atm by Plaisir for road riding (converted it obviously set up wise). I am happy to lend it to you, it's a medium size though ... not sure if it will fit you. Just would need to replace OEM forks on it to Reba's I recently bought and you sir = is sorted !

Great! I'll check also the Nirvana cycles offering if they could give me a try on some LaPierre.. :) I'm 5'11 so medium is probably okay.

Let's get back to this when I know my schedule better.

You are right - looks like just sections closed - we saw the diversion signs and I assumed it was closed

"Heartburn, Handy Andy and Grand Canyon are now closed with diversions in place. ""

I should be up for that. The back is now pretty much healed so looking to get back out and see some new trails.
Best avoid climbs over fences though :D

Anyway, should be okay for 21st also (p.s. I'd get some exercise in before a run with Richard ;):D)

All this talk of weekday Wales trips... no fair! :(. If it wasn't such a busy week I'd consider taking the time off (even if it does cost me a lot of money!).

Sounds like just the sort of thing I need. Likewise I've only been doing this stuff over the last year on a more serious basis, and really need confidence on the rolls-ins, drops, and general technique for cornering etc. Aston really showed me how much I have to learn and dented my confidence a little (not to mention my ribs!) :D

It's been a long time coming but the Beast should finally be ready this weekend if a gear cable arrives. Was thinking of Swinley to make some adjusts and tweeks if anyone fancies it?
