We don't agree on much, but if I didn't know you guys I'd be a bit wary myself.

@Popstar and thel33ter - doubt she'll allow it - I'm happy to put in a good word, but don't think it will help.

    Hi ppl,

Im moving to london in september (tufnell park area). I've never really ridden any trails around london so it would be great If I could tag along with some ppl who ride the close spots like aston hill, or any other places nearby?

I was told by someone there are some small trails in hampstead heath in spaniards wood?

Anyway, any info or rides going on soon would be sick!

    cheers

plough inn is the right pub, there are about three places to park, by , the pub, in a small carpark near by, on the dirt road opposite and as Deadkenny said on the cross road bit by redlands.
I would suggest getting there as early as you can as it gets busy quickly.

    Popstar has been there before.

Yep, Plough Inn literally located near to Leith Hill (Tower). Those who didn't ride with Richard, prepare .

@Swab, there are 5+ or so riders live near you in NE London. You should be allright at organising/share transport to the trails.

Hampstead park trails to this day are illegal to ride (those jumps you mentioned), unless you fancy play cat and mouse with plastic officers patrolling there. Guess nearest place for you to reach would be Epping Forest. Never been there before but think few riders from here did explore/ride there.

I'll choose not put too much stake into someone's opinion who is admittingly terrible though

Swinley is fantastic at the moment. There seems to be unlimited grip 8) spent a while sessioning. The deer stalker table tops, got them all nailed apart from the big one, decided to go for it, and stacked it on the first one before I got to it  overshot It by a metre and landed front wheel first on the slope of the next one.

Anyways my knee has become useless and will have to play Saturday by ear, should be ok though.

I would actually be interested in the forks + wheel, got a Frame sitting in the shed looking rather forlorn that sooner or later I will make single speedy

Anyone got any spare bits? Need a v brake back wheel and a front chainring, and I can petty much put it together.

I'm going to have to see. Did another 30 miles on the SS and my hand is not feeling good (yeah I know, big dose of MTFU and painkillers needed). I guess I can tag along then bail out if I'm struggling as honestly, I reckon I can do without a lot of things but steering and braking, prob not one of them :)

Got a perfect 8/9 speed rear hub in the box, and a front one, and the stash of old rims outside - time to put your wheelbuilding skills to the test?

Plus hopefully once my new wheels arrive, another super speedy hub off my bent wheel, plus the front wheel (will give you a special price haha).

    WTF?????

If I do anything you do not fancy just say !!!!! there is always another line....on a serious note if thats the case please shout when we are out and i can modify the ride i do. If you don't I will ride what I always do and will not modify to the group. You have to remember that i want to ride the techy stuff and do it all the time, I forget that everyone is at diffrent levels and feels more comfortable with diffrent things.
there are no prizes for getting injured so please shout !!!!!!!!!!!!

This weeks ride will be less technical and more singletrack based compared with the last one, so should be more up your street.
Only one or 2 really steep parts and less in the way of jumps etc.

see you Sat as said before get there as early as you can , i said 09.30 but i will be there for 09.00 to get parked and then will look to leave about 09.35-40

if anyone wants my number just private message me.

@Richard, don't take me too seriously. I'm quite happy to take the chicken runs. You guys are just a bit fitter than I'm used to. But nothing wrong with a bit of a challenge.
