Yeah there's some pretty fun stuff in Swinley, but i guess it can be kinda bitty. I'm quite keen to explore the surrey hills area a bit more though, ridden there once (Leith hill area i think) but i can imagine i'd get a lot more out of it with someone who knew where they were going!
I'm also pretty partial to a trip out, nothing better than blatting round Wales of a weekend, not thinking about work till you have to get your aching body up on a Monday morning!0 -

I'm up for tying somewhere new if you don't mind one more tagging along? 9am start's all good, as long as we're home in time for the football no worries, C'mon England!!Charge Duster (RIP)

Congrats, really well done. I went down to spectate from the hospitality area courtesy of Evans and those road guys don't half get the hammer down on sprints. Very impressive up close.
Am also the "proud" owner of a BMC pro-team replica kit thanks to Evans as well but I don't think I'll start on the lycra shorts just yet.0 -

I'll be in a red honda. I presume it's this high beech car park:

Hmm that pointer isn't right on the car park, but when I put the pointer to the right place and try and link it the pointer ends up in the same place, so i think we're probably on the same lines - either way I stop in the sort of long gravel carpark/lay by over the grass triangle from that kings oak pub, near the visitor centre, looking north west through the clearing. Think that description should pin it down.....0

Ok cool I should be ok finding that see you about 6.300

Should be able to get out during the week too, after 6pm, so can get a few hours in nearby.0 -
I'll come along and test out my arm and ribs but will bring a satnav so I can get back if I'm still broken.0

Thx for the offer I checked the TFL web site, all three lines in NW London are closed up to Harrow...its a really pita @ w/ends now. So it will be a mission to get anywhere, I need to get a car!0 -
I'm really marginal for tomorrow I'm afraid; right side is really not capable of taking much pressure.0

Out of interest, how did Sundays group ride go?
Saturday with Helter was eventfull. Spent 4hours in Redlands navigating around trails, did ride many of them. Poor Helter, kept crashing on jumps and roll offs but then we did session few jumps and stormed through ... pretty much anything came our way.
As predicted, late lunch ride ... we've met only 5 riders, 2walkers during whole 4hour ride. What could have been (Video)

Only just got back in time for the footy.
Was good. So much new stuff. Think you'd like all the climbing, though maybe not technical enough .
Exhausted. Covered a lot of miles in a short period. GPS says 26 miles, some long climbing followed by long descents. Plenty of little gems I'd never be able to find, and a bunch of steep rolls (Deliverance kind of grade I'd say), which I bottled.
Too hot for my liking though.
Wasn't sure where I was half the time, though I've got the GPS track. Not sure I can trust it though as it says my max speed was 61.8mph!!. Considering I was lagging at the back as usual, that can't be right .
Only one injury, and that was FFC doing his back in lifting the bike over a stile .0 -
Nice distance, didn't think it was 26 miles in total, felt shorter, really enjoyed the first half, but the second bit was a bit rough and not flowy enough. And now you know, and knowing is half the battle
