Swinley is off for me tomorrow so might SH Sunday instead. If I do, thinking more Leith as I really am enjoying the long trails. Perhaps start Coldharbour side, ride over, Friday St, over to Holmbury, down to Peaslake for a snack, back up, Yogs, the rooty bit and then back over ashes and some runs down Leith again.
  • Thanks for the PM CoolDad.

Meet at Walking Bottom carpark at 11am. Got it. Took pedal and spokes postcode from there site, should have no problems find it.

Looking forward to it. Hope to see you too Atz.

Great ride today, with some new faces and new trails.

@Thepriory, I appear to have accidentally stolen your jacket, I'll try get it to Cooldad sometime during this week so he can give it back to you next weekend or whenever.

Just hope it didn't have his house keys, wallet etc in it.

Unless we plan a bit of burglary.

    Rides this weekend?

Can't do Saturday morning, maybe afternoon though, and Sunday should be okay.

In order of preference as always for me,

    Surrey Hills
    Swinley
    Somewhere else

Trying to clear some evening time to get out whilst there's still a bit of light remaining, but running out of time. Might have more time on my hands in October for some day rides though.
  • I'd love to do a Surrey Hills ride with you guys on Sunday if you're that way inclined? Because I have to get trains there from North London 12 would be the earliest I'd want to meet however...?

Sunday's going to rain. Saturday is best day for epics. Shame can't join you, slaving away to afford paying all bills.

You ever going to be back on the bike, or you doing sneaky rides anyway? ;)

Saturday - might be able to make it somewhere in the afternoon but not sure when I can get away. So far it's just sometime after lunch and may not know for sure until tomorrow lunch. May aim for Swinley or Tunnel Hill if I do get out.

Sunday - Met Office are showing cloud for Sunday but no rain.

  • Does anyone have a post code or something for the meeting point for Sunday please? I don't know the area at all and will be coming on the train so need to work out where's best to get it to etc.

    Thanks.

Don't think it's organised yet but would most likely be Peaslake or Westcott (but lousy for parking).
Peaslake is GU5 9RR (thats the Hurtwood Inn, carpark is a bit further up Walking Bottom).
    Westcott is RH4 3NR

I will probably only have one bike on the car this weekend unless thel33ter escapes, so could probably pick you up at a station - easiest would be Gomshall as I pretty much pass it wherever we are starting from.

I thought it would rain on Sunday, looks like not.

I'm mad for either wescott or peaslake. I'm thinking early start 9-10am
