Wish I could MTB, but with real life issues somehow can't make it. Life throws challenges sometimes so must suck it up. Like a real man, in style.

Anyway enough of crying around, I WANT HERE !

There are plenty of muddy mountains and forests out here. And £20 brake pads

Your zesty must have siezed up by now,

I so used to ride my wife's HT that struggled to understand why on earth do I need Zesty. It was a struggle to wrestle that bike in Swinley. Maybe need to ride bigger mountains though. Same applied with Attack Trail, came to conclusion that slacker geo bikes aren't necessarily better for riding. Nippiness of XC bikes is awesome.

MTB is the solution to life's issues. Go ride. Even if you have to strap mini-Popstar to your back :D

Hmm, right. Stuff done. Can get out for a ride now. Bike's still got Welsh mud on it.

Bit of food first and may head to Peaslake for 1.45ish.

As summer season ends, true warriors should get themsleve a XML light. At £35 it's deffinately a bargain and a proper bastid light for night rides. Ordered one, can't wait to see it in action.

Atz ... if you rode slacker geo AM and XC bikes back to back you would talk different. XC = FTW! At least in Swinley.

Almost weekend. After trashing pads (replaced with extortionate Ashima ones from Tredz at £15 an end) and shock bush/spacers (new ones just arrived from BETD) time to plan a ride.
Need to fit the bush (hopefully Saturday, depending on availability of Mr Pinnick and bushing tool).
    So any plans?
I'm off next week so should have plenty of riding time therefore something like a Swinley pootle sounds good.
Sunday definitely, Saturday depending on above.

Not too sure about Swinley honestly. Kind of burned out on it at the moment. Not sure what day or days I'll be riding though.

I'm mad for either Saturday or Sunday. Although Swinley is hard to get to from Guildford (no car)

Cooldad - before we get too far down on the planning, you likely to be able to ride from 9am or is the summer holiday lay-in in force?

Plans a bit vague - not sure when I'm picking up thel33ter this weekend. If Friday or Saturday can make it that early, under duress. If only on Sunday....
    Will sort that out first.

Swinley is easy from Guildford...... Get the Train to Reading, getting off at Crowthorne, ride about 1.5miles to the crowthorne entrance to the forest and cross the forest from there.
