Anyone wants to join me for a day trip - Have big estate car, happy to share the petrol costs! I live in Wokingham so you'll need to be able to get to or live near-ish there.
I've been given the sunday (14th) off work though the earliest train to Wokingham is 7.10 getting into Wokingham station at 8am which might be a tad late (not sure how long it takes to drive to wales)

Edit i lied 7.10am is when it arrives into Wokingham >.> changed the website layout.

@thel33ter I will probably take a day off during the week and come up for the day. If you let me know what day you'll be doing Afan I'll plan around that. Haven't been there for ages, looking forward to it!

We'll probably do Afan on the Wednesday, then we'll be doing it again on one of the weekend days.

@MrB - takes about 2 and a half hours to drive from around here to Cwmcarn, which is where we planned to ride on the Sunday.

Didn't see that he said a day during the week for the lift  that actually makes it easier though as i'm more likely to be able to get a earlier train to wokingham (if i have or can get someone to swap a day off at work.)

Campsite all booked, and couple of other people coming out on Friday and staying until Sunday, so Tues to Thursday still unplanned, but provisionally Friday - Afan, Saturday drive out to Brechfa and Cwmcarn on the way home on Sunday.
Will probably do Afan on the Tuesday we arrive as it's closest.
Maybe Brecon Beacons one of the other days.
    I'm feeling shagged out already.

Everything very much up in the air for me at present. No work planned next week but dependent on when other things get arranged (non bike related), then hopefully by beginning of next week I'll know when/if I can possibly make it.

Saturday + Brechfa = FTW! Hope to drag Apprentice into that one. We will look into Cooldad's tent, definately!

We did have a weekend like that once in a big storm. Thel33ter woke me in the middle of the night to say something was wrong with the tent. Told him to stop being a weenie and go back to sleep, just before the thing collapsed on top of us.
Left it there, got in the car and drove home.

If you want to extend your concept of last weekend, we could park in Swinley and ride down to Leith :D

BTW, If anyone is interested I have a spare 2 man (so 1 man really) tent if they want to use it.

Early birds are up for a SH ride Sat. Not sure myself yet.

Week off, a few things to get sorted early on in the week but may have a chance to join those Welsh tripping folk later in the week, and can get out for local rides when I'm not waiting in for various deliveries.

Weekend plans for us more likely a bit of Swinley on Sunday, tomorrow is shopping and fettling, Sunday testing fettles and Monday getting ready and resting up, Tuesday Wales. Yay.

Been and done. Was an early ride with little explore of what remains of Redlands, then mess about Leith.

Struggled today. No stamina and no confidence on any of the gnarly bits that normally aren't a problem.

Weather tomorrow look like it's going downhill fast. I plan to head out in the morning at swinley to beat the rain if anyone wants to join.

I'm heading to Swinley early around 9am, planning to be there for a few hours. Will be on my grey mongoose hard tail, and a red shirt. Always up for meeting new people

9am was kind of what I was thinking. Can't be 100% sure right this second, but I'll keep an eye out for you. Cooldad, is that too early for you or ok? I think the rain will be on us by lunchtime.

I generally prefer a bit later as well, but looks like nasty weather later, and spent lots of time fettling today so want to get a decent shakedown ride in before Wales.
So will make a special effort.

Wales again. We are up from Tuesday. Plan The Wall in the afternoon.
Benpinnick coming up Wednesday. Planning Whites. MrB possibly joining him. (If he can find an early train to Wokingham)
DK may come up one day?
One of thel33ters friends and father coming up Friday and staying until Sunday.
Rest of the days so far unplanned but want to get up to Brefcha at least one day, and Cwmcarn on the way back on Sunday.

    Anyone else?

Good ride this morning at Swinley with Benpinnick.
Thel33ter had a flat before we left and another mid ride.
I had another altercation with a root, fortunately only dinged my knee this time, to go with the general damage from last week's failure on the little mound (all DK's fault anyway).
    Ow ow ow.

Ben was planning on leaving at around 7am, so that train will be about perfect.
