pieman - drop me a PM with your mobile number then I can at least remove the random nature of this forum's private message system. In any case, planning "morning" but flexible as it's a day off

Some guys want to come up from Brighton on Saturday for a SH marathon. Not sure I can make it, but I'm probably the worst person to find my way anyway. Anyone up for a Saturday ride?

Also there's the STW Spring Sexy ride or some such nonsense on Sunday. I think ATZ was planning to come. Anyone else?
Saw the thing from the Brighton guys but not sure I can make it either Saturday. Currently I'm aiming to sleep the whole day the way things are going, but anyway I need to fix the gears on the bike, assuming the BB can still cope in its current state. Though eyeing reviews for a new bike. Almost came back with a bargain Trek from the states until I realised how much it costs to get it back.

Would rather a SH run Sunday. Not sure about a mass Swinley thing. Sounds a bit weird and the place will be packed probably.

Still, will see as usual closer to the weekend.

Not sure I trust the bike enough for SH, and I'm lucky to be able to go to Swinley, so we're definitely heading there.

I may well be up for a ride Sunday if anyone is up for it. Sat is no good for me as coming off a night, obviously sh not swinley.
Maybe do winterfold and pitch but if weather is still good I may go for a big ride and do ranmore then pitch winterfold and either back or over leith. If anyone wants jumps etc for new skills I certainly know some areas that might help .

Forks are at Magura, an o ring or something apparently got lost somewhere inside them , so they weren't working 100%

It does except mine aren't dual air. But as it doesn't seem to make any difference when riding I'm not getting too stressed at this point.

Neither are his. They're Toras. All air forks have a positive and negative chamber, or they wouldn't work. Only difference is your forks set it automatically, dual air forks have two valves.

They only started doing it a while ago, it doesn't really seem to do anything, feels like a tiny little top out.

So who's where at the weekend, and what times?

Still looking like Sunday for me. Might be able to get out on a test run later Saturday afternoon when I've finished fiddling with the bike, though got other stuff I need to sort out. Assuming I don't sleep through the entire day.

It's going to be a quagmire unless it dries fast. The usual hordes tomorrow will churn the puddles into filth as today it was muddy as hell but watery-muddy if you get what I mean.

Given there's probably 80 people signed up to go, it could be "interesting" with the state of the trails. Have fun tho ;)

Fixed my brakes. Looked like the clip holding in the pads had bent as we thought. 10 mins with pliers and snips sorted that. Now need to order some more pads from disco or ssc as that set of pads is almost totally dead already.

Anyone else who has Formula brakes. Do you get some of those lock clips with each new set of pads?
