Been out every week one place or the other, but there were a few at Tunnel Hill and a few at Swinley as ell as SH.
Think thel33ter has soccer on Saturday this week, and I will probably be verbally abusing the kids on the school ride.
Sunday probably just Swinley again if the l33ter's chain on his ahem Speedily Singular Thingy holds together for more than a few feet.

Did you guys do Summer Lightning at the weekend? Really odd now they've cleared it, feels like a different trail, I got quite disorientated!

Cleared it? They taken the trees out or something?

    njee20 Posts: 9,613
Exactly. On the top half, not touched the trail at all, but there are no trees on it whatsoever! Imagine it'll now get eroded a good 'un.

What, the flatter bit that goes through the trees bit where the sign has fallen over? Wow, that's a bit of an odd one. It'll be dead before too long like you say though.

Actually a surprisingly light Taiwanese frame, but close enough  Handles beautifully too.

Like this, but in a smaller frame which looks a lot better. Plus mine has red bits, so it's faster.

Yep, the whole of that section, over that little log jumpy thing, to where you join the fireroad before the bottom bit.

Supra take HT hardrock off me, Zesty needs some repairs (busted outer casing on gear cable=no gears+chainsuck as a result).

    hi to all,

we gonna meet at swinley , infront of mbElf's a silver estate merc or alternatively just infront of the entrance doors of the park at 8:45.

phone nums etc are in neighbour forum.

p.s. why this thread is called "London calling"
    what does it mean?

I think because the person who started it lives in London, and it's the name of exceptionally magnificent Clash record.

But there's not much riding in London itself, so rides are in places convenient to London.

Nope, also, one of the lyrics is 'get out of the suburbs, you boys and girls'. Which a nice comparison against why the thread was made, asad cooldad explained in his somewhat disjointed posts.

Except they meant get out of the suburbs and into the inner city. So actually quite the opposite meaning.
    But can't criticize your taste.

    Anyone riding at weekend??

Probabaly out Sat morning but not sure time as of yet , will be mid morning prob.
Not sure where and probably out with my mates so will be a quicker one.

awesome ride last weekend , picth and winterfold, sweet trails , summer is nearly here...

Really interesting rumor emerged last week from one of the customers at Head for the hills.
He had a chat with security guard that has been seen at redlands woods...the Guy recons that the reason for bikers being asked to keep away is because they are going to be filming some of clash of the titans 2 in there!!
Not confirmed but interesting if true.
I can sort of see their point, not sure i would want a lycra clad cooldad appearing on the new film , not really greek mythology ..........

Rich has had one for a year and had no problems, and you know how he rides,,

KS I900 by Pure racing not superstar, and its bloody great !!!!! been around for about 4 years and to good reviews as they do not have as many probs as the others in the lovely british weather.
They also do a remote one ( although i would not bother) and they do a lighter I950 now as well. cheaper than the upcoming untested rockshox and fox ones....although i suspect with those names they are likely to be good.

    Hey Rich,

If you're riding tomm let us know, should be around. Was going try and do Swinley on Sat but the train ride is epic and it's a lot easier to do SH.

Hey guys sorry for long absence, been concentrating on nailing my degree rather than the switchbacks! Hope you have all been keeping well, should be joining group rides again soon so look forward to seeing you all and catching up. Planning another summer tour for august - this time to Barcelona!

Another note - Supra if you still need a bike for tomorrow mine is currently in good shape and you are more than welcome to borrow it if you like, have rack on at the moment as well so can drop it round tonight if needed, let me know.
