Gone for kevlar. I've had sintered and organic before so time to try the third option.

Who's to say you have original pads? :) Chances are the originals are organic for our southern european pals to use through their dry-ish winters.

Originals on mine I think were organic. Destroyed them in no time once the weather turned rubbish.

I've stuck with Sintered now and put up with squealing brakes from time to time. Though gone cheap with Superstar this time so will see how they work out (Mmm, more Haribo!).

Excellent stuff, and the pads aren't too bad neither.

Don't know if you two tubby buggers are aware but haribo can be found without attached brake pads. I usually recommend going to "shops" and "buying" it ;)

Anyway, I've got 3 pairs of Formula Rx pads and 1 pair of Juicy pads winging their way from SSC. As an added bonus, I seem to have found an order I made that never shipped.

My OEM pads lasted well, over 3 months. They didn't die, but for the sake of it wanted SS Kevlars. Because Plaisir bought ones and they were shiny red, nice colour addition to brake calipers.

However OEM were the best feel* pads, very sharp on bites. SS not as sharp due to less contact friction area but I don't think I am that good to justify financially that little advantage.

ATZ, from now on we don't expect you to brake too much. If you realy want to kill that habit I could borrow you my wife's bike. On last ride brakes on it failed again. Think it's time to change them completely.

Free stuff just tastes better. And as no one else gives me presents I've got to take what I get.

WP what time do you think to start rides? Not sure if I could match your fitness, finish working 15.00 every day this week.

Not long now until I can come out to play after work. At least without doing night rides.

Hi guys....it's been a while. Just after our ride I lost the ability to drive! Last week my powers have been restored and I am driving again!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I am heading out for a weekend excursion with friends south of Guilford (Bowlhead Green, who thinks of these names!), can anyone suggest a place to ride nearby?

    Hey all,

If there's any SH riding this weekend, count me in. DId a marathon session with popstar and Adrian on Sunday and picked up some great core skills training.

Best nearest Guildford is anywhere in the Surrey Hills.

However Bowlhead Green is fairly near Hindhead and therefore the Devil's Punchbowl which I believe has some stuff to ride.

Anyway, there should be some of us out in Surrey Hills this weekend. Or at least I hope to get out there. Usually ends up being the Sunday (Sunday Warriors that we are), but open to either day. May be out Saturday some time also somewhere.

Thanks DK....where is a good place to park and set off from in Surrey Hills?

I would like to meet up for a ride Saturday, but the group I'm with is a bit less motivated, so there is no telling when we'll actually get out there.

Hope to join you and the rest soon!

We'll be at Peaslake (probably) at 10 on Sunday for anyone who wants in.

@Benobo - Here is probably the best. Easy access to Holmbury, Pitch, and Winterfold

Sunday 10 @ SH should be fine.

Saturday hope to go out somewhere for a (off)road test after the mucking about I've been doing with the bike as need to make sure the gears are actually working. Maybe Swinley or Tunnel Hill ?

Thanks Gents! Hope you have a great weekend! I am looking forward to a ride that doesn't require an hour of mud clearing afterward.
