I'll head to High Ashes Farm for 9.30 and then follow the signs up to the tower if there's no one there/I get lost and go to the wrong car park. I'm looking forward to it.

Right, bike reassembled. Will be heading for the car park near High Ashes for 9.30 (that car park does have a name but I forget what). I'm in a red Civic by the way, and yeah, I'm always late :D.

Awesome riding today we had. Apart from Timothius crashing at Deliverance and multiple crashes into me, all things went really well. Hated those cramps at the end of the day, really slowed me down on climbs. According to DKenny we did no less than 17miles Leith-Holmbury-Leith so fitness wise was very pleased.

Considering my (new) chain was slipping all the time it was reasonable going (at least for us).

Got out on the roadie today. Forgot to bring water so I only did 22 miles, but at a decent pace at least. The bottom bearing in the headset also decided to implode by the feel of it :(

How much longer were you out?

A while. Noticed it with about half an hour before I got home

Still seems to work, it's probably not gonna be changed till it stops turning completely.

If you meant us, I think we were out until 4-ish. Did 3 hours worth of riding according to my tracker, ended up going over to Peaslake via BKB, much some cheese straws etc, then back via Yog Pots, steep DH-ish bit, and back up to Leith.

    Salt...

    apparently.

Not enough of = muscle cramps.

Don't know if that's true, but I chuck a little in my water now, along with high juice (50% fruit juice squash stuff). Makes for a good home made isotonic drink.

I said that? No way. I hope.

We were, I think, looking at Swinley on Saturday and SH on Sunday. Thel33ter with me tomorrow so I'll see then.
Hope I can ride though, still don't have much use of one arm.

You didn't say, just inspired by your hippy lines.

I propose that anyone who is willing to ride with 1.5 arm has the natural right to drink while on the trail.

    I know.

It's one of his top ten responses to any question... Along with 'hammer' and 'that won't work' (it normally does when he says this too  )

Anyone around Saturday for a Swinley Ride?

I'm not sure if I'm around on Sunday anymore, about 50:50 at the moment.

Got new cassette to fit and need to test it out first this time rather than just turning up on a ride and wasting half an hour fiddling with it.

So, might go out Saturday but could be later in the day.

    Wait till Cooldad says something.

@DK (and anyone else) how about a bit of Swinley (or Tunnel Hill) Saturday early afternoon. I want to test my body out and repaired bits on bike, not problem if you want to fiddle on the way. Don't want to start off with a marathon.
If all goes well will be up for Sunday SH or somewhere, but thel33ter has a sort of disorganised don't know what when where or even if organised ride kind of maybe arranged so hopefully will know tomorrow.

After last Sunday's epic need to sort out brakes. Seems no chance to straighten disk brakes. Not sure even how to remove it, as those funny mavic hubs have mysterious shooty clamp covering over it. Hope superstar disks will fit somehow.
