Those brakes have a good reputation from what I've read review wise and people that have had them.0

Im glad I just got new calipers (Dia comp titanium), or be after these too. I hope my partner doesn't notice that the aluminum and steel on my bike is now carbon lol. Titanium frame next, but i'll have to find a red one and hope she doesn't twig!Specialized Allez 20100

Must...resist...I have already replaced the wheels to EA90 SL, and FSA SLK Carbon crank on a bike I dont even get until jan, so they can build it with new parts....
Going to get the brakes though as apparently the ones on the boardman are gash.
Zipp for £100 though....thats insane0 -

Well the Zipps didn't suit me, but I fancied a new carbon railed saddle, just got to find a way of removing the Test logo - although I do have access to copious amount of Propan-2-ol and other stuff in my lab so there's got to be something to remove it cleanly.
Supposed to be 140g, but real life weights seem to be around 150g - Should save me nearly 100g over my bog standard Arione.0 -

Keep drifting back to the bar and stem! Has there been a move away from 26mm stems or something-when I look at CRC and Wiggle they only seem to stock 31.8mm. Is this a personal preference thing or has there been a general shift to OS?0

Yeh basically, OS is generally considered standard now.
If the stem had been oversize I would have jumped at it, but the choice of 26mm bars is getting smaller.0 -

When I get a new crankset and get rid of the boat anchor that is a FSA Gossamer (Stiff but heavy) I could save about 300g
It's not as though I'm thinking it's going to make me go faster, but a lighter bike looks better on the scale0 -
Haha, it's a beautiful thing 8) I know that all in add the 100g to the 300g to the whatevers next does add up to a decent saving but was just havin a joke, and also jelous because can't afford anything at the mowinter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg

I couldn't do finance even if it was 0%, I don't like borrowing the money, my 0% overdraft is going to end soon anyway so that'll be no more too. I'm a "saving up" kind of guy, although that generally means buying stuff out of my savings, and then putting the money back in a bit at a time.0 -
You have a lot more self control than me sir :roll:winter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg
