    Hold it in Bristol?

Just being pulled in several different directions and need a non-hectic weekend. Seriously, I wouldn't be good company (and no comment about the bum). I daresay I'd be well up for it another time.

A true gent. Thank you, sir. :)

Unfortunately, if I can turn up, it'll be an impromptu thing. If there's any window of opportunity, it's when the youngest is having her afternoon nap. Will see. :(

I'm still deciding if I feel like having the p*ss taken out of my 'vintage' tourer  or would rather just go on a pootly ride.

Are you lot doing a lap or something? I don't want to do a lap with any of you lot thanks very much, that way shame lies. All the long but flat rides I've done recently have been so devoid of real hills that I think my legs have forgotten how to do them, even the relatively tame ones in RP. And my gears keep playing up.

Laura, me and Linds are going to go on a very pootly pootle round the dirt track that goes around the edge of the park - and I'll be doing it on a road (or fixed) bike so it's really not a problem for any machine. You (and anyone else) is very welcome to join us!

Or just come to the 2pm onwards drinks. No cycling required :)

Oh and if anyone doesn't want to do laps, as stated on the first page, just come for the beers! 1400 at the Roebuck - map link on the first page.

Thanks Blondie, I will bear that in mind, although I am notoriously skittish on anything that isn't tarmac...the group I was riding with on Saturday had a good laugh at my dismay at a bit of gravelly path we tackled...damn them...gravel is evil...

Roger, this is an 80s mixte frame with DT shifters etc,. Although the person I got it from had got it resprayed at Bob Jackson so the paintjob is lovely.

Well, if you don't fancy the track, I will put money on there being two or three other people less confident in their speed who'd rather ride with a more relaxed group in any case!

Or just boozes. Boozes is good. Will bring oily fish if it will seal the deal.

Well if slower, annoying relative noobs are still allowed I will pop along for a pootle and a pint.

My plan is to do a couple of slow laps, then pause for some pints before attacking the park again and doing a sub 20 minute, fixed.

Can't wait to see how that pans out.
