What time you leaving Croydon? The movie I'm taking the kids to see runs 9:20 - 11:20. I'd imagine with getting back for the car and driving home I'd be leaving by the Palace ground around 12ish? Which way you headed there?

Dear oh dear are you in for a shock, you do realize all the regular posters on here are actually 45+ yrs live at home with their parents and don't even own a bike.

I was just about to suggest that it would be an ideal time to be wearing SCR kit, but refering to the SCR Legends made me think we'd need a way to identify each rider so they'd need their OWN kit...........then it just descended into a weird world of grown men racing around in brightly colored lycra ;-)

Thinking about it my current avatar would be awesome on the back of a cycling jersey........

    What's the plan if it's wet ?

I should be venturing into London this evening to prime myself for tomorrow's extravaganza with beer and curry, and given the forecast will be coming on Something With Mudguards.

It's only rain and skin is waterproof! Besides we have the pub and a few cafes to camp in if the heavens do open proper but at the moment we've only been promised "scattered showers", maybe if we offer up a sacrifice of a few CXer's to the weather gods we could appease them?

It's not the rain that worries me....it's sitting on my own in the rain in a park in London waiting for imaginary internet people to turn up, while all the precious carbon roadies stay at home stuffing nappies in their shoes and the CXers do unspeakable things with small rodents...

Most of the SCR regulars live near Richmond, I'm sure there will be posts from some informing when they'll be leaving and what time they expect to be there. Likewise if any should cancel I think there will be posts saying as much.

Generally though if the out-of-towners, Attica, Linsen et al, make the effort to turn up the turn out is usually good.

I was thinking of heading out around 11ish going via morden

I don't know a good way as such, so google says something like this

I'm persuadable with beer if you want me to head out a little later

I should be fine, it's probably gonna be a mad rush to try and get ready for 12 anyway - I'll just head out when I get home and meet ya there! I'm plannng on going via Mitcham/Morden then up Wombledon Hill and then just kinda pointing myself across the Common and hoping I find a way across to Robin Hood gate!

I might not go home today - might just camp out on the 9th floor until the rains subside. I think I've got enough jellybabies to see me through.

I'm out tonight and it might be a late one so I probably won't make it in time for a lap that is fast, slow, on a dirt track or otherwise, if I am being realistic! But I will try to make it to the pub if I feel up to it

Still looking dodgy for me. Welling to Richmond is a long old journey for a rainy, windy Saturday. I might just stay in bed.

yup i'm rather local so i'll be going, i have a pocket rocket that should pump up a wee while, if not there is a hire shop next to the cafe, if not there are plenty of bike shops not that far away etc.
