and for a general 4 week commute 5 daysa week that's 666 miles  awesome

Will you lot stop extending your bloody commutes

I need to find a new route with a few extra miles now

I'm guessing he did the same mistake that i did.

I only do the total miles, but added a single entry for the miles in Jan (to show my 500 club entry). When i added this it was added to my existing total, so i had to edit it accordingly.

I changed the map to a link - hope that's ok.

You've got the spirit of a Celt in my opinion, I have no objections to your inclusion.

You know I looked at the map and had a change of heart.

However you seem to have a typo in your post. You did mean 'we' didn't you.

I feel like a slacker just doing a 600 mile monthly average (snow adjusted).

Frikkin TDF is only 3 weeks long. Bastards, they've got it easy.

All these extra miles - you are a keen lot.
I'm slightly less keen having cycled past the wreck of this poor sod's bike this evening.

    Half tempted to make a 2009 top 10 mini-league.

Not because I'd be in it at all. Nuh uh. That would just be egotistical.

Am I allowed to ask a dumb question? I've managd to update the total but I can't for the life of me get it to put each monthly total in. Anyone able to help a technologically challenged old git?

You can do it the way you have done. I have done it the same way, just adding a single entry at the end of the month. However you will need to manually do the total as well. If you have already put in a manual total then stick in an entry, it will add that to the existing total (ie the miles will be added in twice).

It works out monthly totals from individual ride mileages. If you don't enter any rides it has nothing to glean the figures from. Updating the total is bypassing how it works, and prevents your chasing pack seeing what they're up against. Within the rules, outside the spirit of them I'd say.

    Thanks.

I'll try that, when I did it last night it gave me the option to delete rides only. I'll stick at it. If someone can work out how to get it in for me for the numbers are January 547 miles and Feb 153 miles.
  • CiB
    CiB Posts: 6,098
Stick a ride in dated Jan 31 for 547 miles, and one for this month for 153 miles, and delete any that aren't valid - you can't delete all your rides so if necessary enter a dummy one with 0 miles.

When you've done that you'll need to manually adjust your 2010 miles as these mileages will have been added and your running total will probably be wrong.

Yeah, I cry foul on that sort of usage. Perhaps a change in the rules? Mileage penalties for trying to gain an unfair advantage...

... Uh-oh, this is getting waaay too serious ;)

I may have extended my commute this morning. Just for the love of cycling, you understand.
