Well well it seems the wheel size on my road bike is off... it's was 2096 I've just measured it at 2200 (after a trip to brightin where mine and JonGinge distances were off)

luckily there's only one ride that I need to adjust and that was the Richomnd park ride the other weekend

Here's my maths if I'm wrong please let me know and I'll adjust accordingly
    44.8 miles = 72.09km

    7209m/2.096 = 3439.4 revolutions

    3439.4 * 2.20 = 7566.69 metres

    75.67km = 47.01 miles

That gives me an additional 2.3 miles by my calculations

Every little bit counts :D I know can look forward to being a little bit faster too :)

    I get 47.02

    You did the maths a rather long winded way i just did 44.8 * 2200 / 2096

I could creep into the top ten in the right mini-league but it would mean a complete re-entry of my miles from day 1.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

I'm sticking to my original plan of 600 miles a month. Fell slightly short of 150 miles this week. I'm goin to blame the rain for that - as I was cycling towards Rochester today - I reached Gravesend and it started hammering down - and it was very cold. So I ducked out and got the train home instead. Still managed nearly 20 miles today and 30 odd yesterday.

I can't really post this in the ride reports because I was on foot, but last night whilst walking along prom. I was amazed at the sheer number of Lycra clad carbon warriors whizzing alone the roads and this new strange smooth, wide road thing called a cycle lane, so wide in fact you could easily drive a car along it. Turns out not only are team GB here in Perth, WA but there also some road race happening :)

so there i was in bar by the bay enjoying many many cold beers, BBQ rack of ribs more beers watching bike porn tastic :)

oh yeh it's also fecking hot, like 30c hot thank goodness for cold beer and swimming pools :)

whilst driving around town I did spot lots of bike shops, it would be rude not to have a quick peek, right?!

60 mins on the turbo followed by some bike shopping, breakfast then swimming - perfect!

Enjoy work, make sure you wrap up warm.

    Oh dearie dearie me

Makes a change that I managed some miles on Sunday having missed the previous 3!

Are you down this way soon CJ? I need another hill climbing lesson :D - going up Nantgarw Hill and then up Caerphilly Mountain yesterday was errrmm...hard - although longer it wasn't quite as bad as going up from Thornhill.

I'll be testing out my longer commute tonight (if it's not lashing it down and the wind is a hurricane in my face) looking to add another 5+ miles on

With everyone piling the miles on, February's going to be the longest shortest month...

Can you all have a few days off? Last year was pretty easy - an extra day's commute would keep me in the top 20, sometime borderline top 10. Mid 30s now and nowhere, despite commuting from almost the start of the year. Give the old slower fat kids a chance... :(

0 miles yesterday. Post Superbowl day off work and was just too lazy to get on the bike. Gonna have to make up for that over the coming days.

    Yeah, seriously.

I might have to put a speedo on the mountain bike, and start counting those miles too.
