    And with that ..... I'm done. 3927

Didn't make 4000, but close. Aim next year - 5000.

    1-week over 5,000 miles: 5,122 miles.

    Not too bad.

Chris are you keeping this year's data available on another page or are we starting over completely for 2010?

According to the stats page I've pedalled my way to 1515 miles this year which might not sound a lot to some of the 000's offered up by some but I was doing less than 10 miles a week at the beginning of the year and only M'dTFU in May when the Tricross came to me. Next year 50 miles/week ~ 2500 ish.

I can't add my miles to the stats page, some sort of error thingy anyway, I woke up today feeling good, the sun was shinning and not a cloud in the sky, so I thought i'd make a start on my 2010 target of 8,000.

Alas I hadn't counted on there being so much ice and had to cut my ride short.

17 myself today, 9 on the cyclepath to Bitton Station avoiding the pedestrians and blinding sun despite sunglasses. The ride home was a conflict between my navigation and the Garmin, got to the main A4 back into Brizzle and 'she' was telling me to do a u-turn

2 and a bit miles for me. Twas a run not a cycle, though. Hamstrings are now twanging a bit. Haven't run for ages, you see.

Hope to ride tomorrow and sunday :D

If you go to the stats page now you are taken to the 2010 page by default but 2009 can be viewed by selecting the year in the drop down box. All users have been compiled into one league regardless of the last time they added miles. I went from 35th down to 59th :( on that sort criteris.

So there was. Sorted; miles for 2010 can be added. It needs a little bit of a tidy up re the messages but miles can go in. I'll take another look over the w/e.

I'll add a locekd page that shows the 2009 final positions, both for regulars, and everyone.

I can't see how to do it - as my name isn't in for 2010 yet, how do I add more miles?

BTW Chris - the link 'Why has it changed' in your sig goes very briefly to a text page and then immediately the 2010 home page. I'm presuming that explains the disappearance of height and all that?

Go to the 2009 page and find your name and add mileage from Jan 01 then the 2010 page will show your miles.

Close at the top, not that I expect to stay there for long

Taa for that redvee. I'd thought about trying that but I hadn't the will to live to correct it if it had gone wrong!

    Cool, I'm in at 3rd.
Tried to do further, but traffic in richmond park was ridiculous.

    Might go long tomorrow.

Impressive average speeds on your two runs there gert. Your front ring must be like a dustbin lid. God knows what your rear ring looks like at 830mph.

Anyway, that's me up there in the top 3, again for probably the only time his year. I was top for a few days last May but then other people started logging in and using the Stats page, and so began my steady descent down the table.

    :)

woot! I'm above CJ. This won't last long and will probably not be repeated.

Just a quick spin out today to loosen the legs. Running is bad, m'kay.

Edit: Jaysus. Thought the saddle felt a bit low on my ride. Just checked it and it was about 2cm too low. It hadn't slipped but it was from the difference in height between the stock saddle and the selle-italia slr I put on a couple of weeks ago... I'm an idiot for not checking

    Snow *changed* play for me.

Wen up my local hill (Castle Naze/Coombs Edge) and there were large drifts and strong gusts.

I have just spent a couple of hours sledging with my daughters.

    Different fun.

    Monday could be "amusing".

started work today and didn't even see the top ten I expect to drop down as I only measure the town bike which mostly just rolls though Bushy Park.

Reminder that today is the last day that miles for 2009 can be added, so get them in before midnight if you have any outstanding. Once done I'll look at sticking a final 2009 Standings page up showing just the regulars - i.e. those that continued logging miles into December.

Got to say though that mcmullej has shown the way with 8000+ miles. That's some effort, and worthy of the award - congrats from me for that. I reckon there might be some competition this year though; therre's a sense already that a lot of us will be out on the bike for no other reason than to clock some miles up to stick them on the leaderboard. Bring it on. Here's to 2010.

OK i signed up to give you guys a real challenge * ;) stupidly put 0 in the starting miles box so my name is not on the list so cant put my real miles in. CIB any chance you can fix for me. ta im such a muppet at times.

I've just watched the weather forecast for this coming week, blooming hell if we really get that much snow it's going to be chaos and might very well kill my chances of 8000 miles and the 2010 metric challenge.

    I'm off out now.

PS. I've had to plan a new route to the station to avoid a couple of steep icy sections, unfortunately it's a few extra miles a day, funny that!

  • CiB - there is a bug in the YTD column - it adds up all the miles even if they have been deleted. The WTD column is correct but YTD is not. This error has appeared for me and bigricky. I'm not complaining about being top but I don't want to cheat!

    Thanks
