Well I'm off on the Dunwich Dynamo tomorrow - guaranteed 140 miles by Sunday afternoon.
Then next week hoping to do at least 40/50 miles a day.
And I doubt I'll get to post them until I come back Monday week. So don;t get complacent Chris. :P0 -
Ris got ahead of me again, then 30 mins late I post mine for the day and swap!
I had just arrived at work when I got the call from home, wife was in labour! Think I'll have to take the eldest for some rides whilst on paternity leave to keep my foot in the door. At home now, waiting for the trip to hospital...0 -

That's close to being an illness that is. I sense a need to take the site off stream for a few days in a week or so's time for 'essential maintenance' then.
Wait till the school hols. That's my chance.0 -

I'd save your energy mate and leave her & the trained medical staff to it. At best you'll get shouted at, and prob have your fingers & wrist crushed when push comes to shove. Isn't there some comedy on the box on a Friday night?0 -

Best not to ask if she's sure it really is yours. Apparently.0 -
My wife tried to bite my arm for the first one and then put all her wait on my finger, which was on the edge of the bed. When I said she had hurt my finger, she flew into a blind rage - actually that is when she bit me. In truth, it did hurt, but also in truth, I shouldn't have mentioned having a sore finger at that point in time.0

Sort it on July's figures and you're errr...5th. Still behind me though. It's all these newcomers, bursting in on 3000 miles+.0 -
ChrisInBicester wrote:It's all these newcomers, bursting in on 3000 miles+.
Yeah what's with that just quickly updating YTD figures? I left my Jan - Mar figures out of it because I wasn't recording them on here so thought it not fair. Anyway...0 -

Add the lot. All miles count towards your YTD figure, except rollers & turbo trainer miles. That would be overstepping some imaginary line.0 -
Following on from something that came up in the Road forum, I've added Monthly Targets in place of Tyres. Feedback welcome, as long as it's +ve.0

good work
your target miles of 308 is very specific!FCN 8 mainly
FCN 4 sometimes0 -
My target is 480, 308 is the diff between what I expect to achieve and what I've done so far. That's the idea - not all of us can do 792 miles per month, but we can all have a target and aim to be closest to it, hence the updates are locked down after 14th.

I only wanted to know what tyres ITB used so I could avoid them...
I reckon he just uses an innertube held in with sellotape (duct tape holding the innertubes to the rims would be a better bet)
I also think Fat Kid is lucky that " (he?) doesn't do as many miles as ITB...0 -

Have a look at the Todays Updates page on a day when he adds some miles. I couldn't be ar$ed to swap that one about yet.0 -

ITB mentioned "Bare rims"...
I was calling her.
My Kendas had worn out (about 1-year's commuting) and I have got some marathon plus as a replacement.
Thy have ginve ne the slowest p* ever. I also needed a rear wheel, which the LBS got in and fitted the new tyres to. This was a fortnight ago. This morning I noticed that the front tyre was flat, and when I looked, the new tyre had rucked up a patch from a repair in October. I am just waiting to see if the tyre stays firm this evening...
Luckily I didn't find the SMPs to be too hard to take off or put on.0 -
woohoo we're over 100,000 miles

100K miles - my car hasn't even done that
Am liking the new target column - now I have no excuse and will MTFU and finally go for the 450 which I've been toying with in the back of my mind. And then maybe 500...
20 miles on the way home on Friday, and really beginning to enjoy the (slightly) longer distances.Giant Escape R1

Good to see a few taking up the monthly target offer. There's always one tho, Bio...
I've sorted out the sort on the difference between target miles & curr month miles to correctly show those who are closest to their target at the top, and deliberately dump those with a silly target down at the bottom. Clearly those with bigger but sensible targets are further away earlier in the month so drop down a bit, but as the month reaches a climax it'll balance out.
And whenever this thread bumps back up to page 1 we get a load more updates.0 -
Going to be a poor fornight for me, tomorrow is the last day of riding this week as I hit Weymouth on Thursday and can't take the bike for a long weekend.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

Broke through the 4,000 mile barrier this morning.
In the meantime, ITB eats pies and cakes in the US. :twisted:FCN 2-4.
