I'm getting a bit sick of the route this week the driving standard is getting worse and the roads are terrible after the winter.

I do feel like I need a rest day some times I think I've only managed a full week once after my enforced lay-off. I don't think I've got as much climing as you though, 1000ft on the way home but it finishes with this grinder.

Can't you pack an extra 15 in today and tomorrow?

It's difficult leaving the house earlier - have to make breakfast for the kids, get them ready for school etc.

C'mon - surely it's about time the mtfu'd and started looking after themselves! This is 1k in a month; some things matter more than unfed children........

ouch, that must be about 1:12 - 1:15?

this is my "biggy" on the way in (actually this is part way up but only way to avoid confusion given junctions lower down) - if you have the spare 10 minutes to click your way to the top of vine lane and st k's pass you'll emerge at the top - nice and scenic and actually not too bad a climb - 4 main ramps, that's how I deal with it anyway!

    edit - try this:

Yours is a nicer setting than mine, I have to go past 2 local shops with gangs of chavs hanging around outside. I worry that they'll go for me one day, I wont be able to out run them

I have developed a cold over the course of the day.

Ride home is 11 miles, up to Barnet (so up Archway Hill)

Do I wimp out and get the tube home, or MTFU?

I don't own a bike lock, well thats not strictly true, there's a cheap old one keeping the barbecue in the garden.

and me then. Well, why not try and catch me tonight with an extended commute (but just miss out), run yourself into the ground, let the cold eat into you and destroy you and take a few weeks off to recover?

In seriousness, if it came on that quick, don't go too hard as it could be counter-productive to ride.

I might be down but I'm sure as he'll not out, made it into the office despite tireness and Illness but let me tell you now, saddle sores popped or otherwise make me seriously doubt the benefits of this madness!!!

I have the journey home followed by my early morning non commute tomorrow which should see me back on target for YTD.

God help us should we ever get a summer this year I predict epic mileage rides :)

Hmm, got a card through my door from a courier company. Could phone them up to change the delivery address to work. Or I could cycle to New Malden tomorrow morning before work to pick up the package... Thoughts?

Oh sweet baby Moses. This bleedin' Stats table.

There's a driving wind and rain, ice blocks now exist where feet used to be, so logic dictates I should go home.

No. I'm thinking I can eek out a few more miles. 10 more of them in the end. The feeling is slowly returning to my toes. Tomorrow's forecast is for heavier rain and colder temperatures. Oh goody.

Bugger the stats, I'm sat on a train after bailing on the ride home from club night. Some things just aren't worth being that cold and wet for

I'm bailing on tomorrow; today's weather combined with a spin class this morning has just destroyed me. I will sleep very well tonight.

Stop your bitch and MTFU, seriously now peeps after the last two winters this is nothing, in fact I'm current sitting in Southampton airport and I couldn't help but think jeez I should have cycled straight from work, would have only been an extra 25 miles into 'The Headwind' now that's frankly messed up but still :)

no thought of course on how I'd get home with daughter and large suitcases :)

Holy crap I was joking about 1000 in April but looking at my training diary that looks possible  really possible   :? :?

PS. as s0on as the rain stops (assuming it does) my commute will be sans MASSHOOF rucksack and on the TT bike, that's wrong.... right!?
