nice 43 mile round trip commute today, feel quite good so think will be doing it a bit more. 210 miles for the week for me
If i manage 40 ish miles daily til the end of the month I may just be able to hit 1000 for the month, If not definitely next month0 -
Finally managed to get out for a half decent weekend ride. What a cracking day for a ride - 4 counties covered for me including the highest point in cambridgeshire.
Still I think that's the last I'll be seeing of #1 spot for a while0 -
Well I managed to squeeze in 20 miles which seems a bit lame compared to most others, but that's all I was allowed by the boss! Still, it was a gorgous day and I counted 25 others doing the same thing. 110 miles this week so better than my 100 mile target.Trek Emonda and Kiron Scandium on the road and Cube ltd Team for the rest .Also a retired Holdsworth Professional. Love Cycling!!0

Come on ITB, I'm going to take next weekend off to let you catch up
erm dude i only need 215 miles a week! as you know I have a plan and a planned epic ride in the summer, I hope to not only be fit but also fast for Sept.
I have 243 miles left this after which I will be back on track and working on speed again, you sir and TRM have lost the plot, weekend mileage like that would kill me.
:shock:Rule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

A nice gentle 50 miles, my mileage this week has been very poor.
When I was grumbling to Mrs Benno she replied, "it doesn't matter does it".

35 miles to the 100,000 mark. That must be on a par with 1000 runs by the end of May or something.0

No problems I can see barring illness. 8 commuting days left in the month, 200 miles to go = 25 miles a day. 8)
According to "the plan" I should be there on thursday.0 -
Top man!!
I'm determined to get there but I have to confess that at 7.45 on Friday night still 8 miles from home, soaked to the skin, head down into horizontal rain the target was losing it's appeal somewhatSpecialized Roubaix Pro SL : Litespeed Titanium Siena : Specialized Allez : Specialized Tri Cross :

Cheers TRM. I've done a couple of 50's on my own but this was my first ever group ride, hopefully the next club run will be a bit longer. I didn't realise just how much easier on the legs it is riding in a group, having said that I reckon the average speed was only 15mph and an easy route.
It was a nice and relaxing ride and like CJCP said, the weather was superb, the weather gods even put on a tailwind for the way home._________________________________________________

HELP DESK PLEASE!!
this morning when I tried to update it told me I needed to log on - I've never had to do this before, how do I know what my password is?
thanksroad0 -
Your stats user name is your pwd. Log in, and then change it to something else. Don't use your Bike Radar password, unless you're relaxed about me being able to get to it.0

thankyouroad0

Yes it was a glorious day. I managed to get out of the house early and get 25 in before the club meet. We then tore off round Dauntsey and Compton Bassett before a cafe stop in Cherhill and then roared over to Lacock before one of the guys punctured and I could get my breath
I was hoping to get an 80+ in one sitting so to speak but I was on a pretty tight time schedule so had to head home back up Bowden Hill with 76 on the clock but I did sneak out for a quiet 10 mile spin later in the evening on the pretence of testing out some fettling .....

My bike broke this morning. It can not be mended. It is deceased, an ex bike, etc etc.
So ends my brilliant SCS career. I will be taking an enforced rest from cycling for a month or two while i save up to try to buy another.

Frame snapped down by where the rear axle is held in place.
I reckon by the time I have the money for a new bike CiB will have caught up with me.0 -

ah been there,
What I did in the end was get a replacement frame off ebay and transfer everything accross. However, that's rather dependent on being tooled up.0 -
Oh no that's rubbish, sorry to hear about that.
Any chance of getting welded up locally? Or is it properly deeeeeeeeeeeeedFCN 8 mainly

I have thought about it - but not sure it'll be cost-effective for me - I am not at all tooled up; nor do I have time or space for that sort of thing.
Might try to get a second hand replacement though and transfer over the bits I want to keep.0 -

I was wondering whether I could get it welded - the bit that's broken doesn't seem to bear a lot of weight - I can still ride it sort of though the wheel wobbles a bit.0 -
That's rotten luck Porgy.

Is it a steel frame of an ally one?
Are the joints welded or brazed (that's for steel - ally will be welded)
My frame broke through the rear dropout. In theory this would have been repariable with a new dropout brazed in, but not terribly cost effective.0 -
Might be worth seeing if someone can do a fix, is it steel or Aluminium?FCN 8 mainly
