    let me see now, gap to TRM = 335 / 4 = 83.75 miles a day :evil:

Okay so your say for now but i'm coming for you ....

but that gap was only 300 miles last week

Unless I succumb to the charms of a glass of wine or two tonight, I'll be putting the changes up to introduce log-ins to SC Stats, along with a few other tweaks. Expect the thing to be unavailable for a while sometime this evening whilst it happens.

Once in place, your log-in will be your user name on Stats, and to make life easy your password will initially be the same as the user name. Clearly as security fixes go this is pretty hopeless so there is a Change Password option on the log-in page. I'd urge you to change your password as soon as is reasonable, before someone else does it for you as a joke. Ho ho indeed.

I'll have an additional global password update for my use only so if you do need it changing and don't know what yours currently is, ask on here for it to be updated. I'll do it and PM you the new pwd.

A log-in will only be needed to make changes. All are still welcome to look and prowl around the place; you just won't be able to make any changes to your own or other people's stats.

I've decided I'm going to hit 500 miles (monthly total) before today is over, even if I have to keep riding round the block before I go in tonight.

Not likely now - I was planning to get 10 in this afternoon as I had a depot to visit - but visit was cancelled - might go for slightly extended commute home instead.

And tomorrow might be the day that itboff *gulp* finally catches up with me. His current monthly total of 666 doesn't exactly soothe my fears. :?

No 8 mile commute home for me tonight - I was barred from riding by my boss!!

Alas I fear I made a schoolboy error... After my night ride last night, which was done at a fair ol' lick, I went straight to bed, then skipped breakfast this morning and rode in, having an apple for breakfast at around 10am. Come 11 and I'm feeling very faint, cue much concern amongst colleagues and people on standby to get me to the hospital! Numb legs and chest pains followed and I feared the worst (what with family history and all) :?

I still didn't feel right by late afternoon, hence a lift home (and an early finish). :)

Hambones, hope you're OK - have to say you don't look so chipper in you avatar either.

glad I went into wind first tonight as I was knackered by the windward turn. Seems I need to dig out the water bottle too now it's warmed up a bit.

Calm the dancing bananas chaps and pray silence. The dev server is up, Stats is going down whilst the biggest change since the last big change goes in. It'll take a little while so patience please.

May the force be with me on this one...

So much better than yesterday... I was heading to the junction where I can extend the ride, the headwind was telling and it was starting to rain; yesterdays fail still fresh in the mind then Grand Magus - Iron Will comes on the ipod http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvSe42_jzNU it made the decision really easy. Dammit, this thread is driving me to lunacy, I know I'm only (probably temporarily) in 40th place but that didn't stop me adding about 11 miles to my commute home through the pi$$ing rain.

I'm meant to be resting for the velodrome in the morning. The way I feel right now I'll be lucky if I can walk in the morning.

Good idea not to commute tonight. Probably best not to commute tomorrow either.

I was having a "natural break" while getting my miles in today and got chatting to a friendly old guy who was "just out on a 20 mile walk" and was over 70! he was in training for doing 268 miles of walking in 14 days in the penines with someone else in their 70's!

What legends, Silly old people walking stats rocks!
    FCN 8 mainly
    FCN 4 sometimes
