Hello top 10
Hm, you don't look to be in it any more.
Sorry about that
Nice one but at 160 miles a week your going to have to step up your game, nothing less that 250+ a week is going to save you from DEFEAT
but still nice workRule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.

Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.

I'll just keep a consistant 160/week going.
Wouldn't want to do more and blow up my knees in the second half of the year now, would I?0 -

back up to 62nd for like the 3rd time
Seems to have been quite a lot of big shuffles this week. Well of out to make it a round 100 for the week.0 -
Glorious sunrise this morning. I was on the road by 6am. Back in time to (temporarily at least) regain top spot!!!

Hi!
I have this vague notion of setting up a mini-league for those of us who are desperately striving to stay in the top-50!!
I should give you fair warning that I still have to ride home tonight, so if you want hang on to my place you'll need another 14-18 miles (depends on which station I use) on top.
I doubt I'll have a chance to get the bike out over the weekend, though (very rarely do), so if you can rack up a few miles then, you'll be clear ahead...
Cheers,
W.
I don't want to be in the staying in top 50 league, I need to be in the "hoping to move through the 40s and into the 30s but by the time I ever get there if I do there will be 200+ users and I'll actually be in the 70s/80s league"
I've created a 400 a month league for anyone targeting that sort of mileage this year and took the liberty of adding you guys and spursn17. Just wanted to be in any league that didn't place me in the bottom half. Feel free to add yourselves to the list but no ringers please0 -

It was but I didn't.
ended up catching up with stuff I needed to do indoors, then got dragged down to the pub (honest) and made to drink 4 ales an half a bottle of white wine.
I wasn't capable of doing much on Sunday - so had a little 50 mile run down to Tonbridge and back.
I'm hoping for a return to form this week - there's a mountain ahead of me getting back into the Top 5. :?0 -

Keep on spinning dude, anything that reduces the amount of force your knees have to cope with is good. And split the mileage over the 16, your knees will thank you for it

In all seriousness, I'd cut down the amount of time you spend commuting by bike and rest your knees for longer rides on the weekend if your knees feel up to it.FCN 2-4.

Last night, Mrs CJ asked when I'd like to take some holiday.
The Stats table and training for the Marmotte (in that order) immediately popped into my head and all I just said "Errr...".
I've found myself trying to figure if I can do what Christophe did last year and ride to or from any holiday destination in the UK. When Cornwall was mentioned, I thought, "Hmm, could I do 230 miles in a day?". :roll:FCN 2-4.

On a slightly smaller scale I had to go to Devizes on Saturday afternoon and with the stats firmly in mind rode over instead of jumping in the car as I might ordinarily have done ....

One of the lower SCstats competitors has suggested that the two of us should see if we can do a 200mile day around the summer solstice.
We'll be doing at least the 200 and hopefully a wee bit more, if the body keeps going!0 -

or suggest holidaying in Suffolk - it's very nice and easily possible in a day - from London anyway.0 -

Yea, no other way but down!!
We've both done 120 in a day at a very sedate pace and to be honest, if we're kept fed we both think we can keep going on a lot longer.
We'll be doing it in loops out from home bases so there are bailing out options and we will be starting at about 4am as well0 -
