Hey, If you have to go in a car with me driving, refuse! I am a terrible driver, very slow and over relaxed!

As for fixie based projects, I am considering another 2 - Bianchi PIsta and another Raleigh Banana!

After letting Attica go ahead so that I avoided the idiot boy racer, I realise that my bike with smaller wheels is in need of replacing with one with bigger wheels. Trouble is I ain't got the money for a new/pre-owned SS roadbike :( Anybody got £400 I can have?
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

You were quite wise, not fun having someone driving diagonally across three lanes of traffic in front of you.

Sadly I am somewhat sans cash at the moment, sorry old chap.

I am in a "depression" myself with the financials.....doesn't help that my pension just halved too!

Anyhoo - Stonehenge cycles do 24 months interest free credit - Bianchi Pista comes out at about £20 a month!

    Check em out on t'interweb.

Cash is the only way for me then hand it to somebody who can pay online or the shop takes Paypal.

    Anyone fancy another?

I'm a little busy this week, though could manage Thurs after about 1930...

Otherwise Mon/Tues/Weds next week (beginning 20th)?

Le quai de la boue sounds fine to me :)

Assuming it's open! What happened last time there, that it was closed?

Perhaps if the weather is nice we could all abandon the city for somewhere a bit more Yokelly, would make for a nice ride-pint-ride type mix. (beerathlon perhaps?)

All done a social speeds of course.

Hmm - Well, there is the Osterich in the docks, The Orchard or the Cottage - all dockside'ish.

Portwall Tavern (Where the Bristol Fixed gear lot meet at 8pm on Tues!)

    Urm, I am stuck now!

Would it be worth starting somewhere Cliftonny, then heading out west or south-west over the bridge?

I don't know the pubs out that way, but I'll be buggered if I go all the way downhill into town and then we decide to do some monstrous climb up to Abbots Leigh or similar...

OR head along the railway path, hopefully around that time it won't be so busy (though I wouldn't know having never been down it on a weekday evening), there's some pubs along there right?

OR... ? I looked at TRADESIZE's suggestion of the beeses pub but sadly it's closed on a tuesday... Definitely fancy that some time though :)

..................but if you want a bit of a ride from town(about 4 miles), we could head down the feeder along the river and catch the boat over the river to here, and I bet (probably)none of you have ever heard of it, its only been there for 163 years:

I'm always up for putting in more miles, so any direction is good for me.
It's the sort of thing we can plan on the hoof if we feel like a nice ride, otherwise we could always stick to plan A

    OK!

SO the plan is Tuesday, Mud Dock.

IF it's going to turn out to be an awesome day to go further, maybe we can just go further from there.

    Deal?

As you organised the last one so well, get the wheels in motion again for the next pi$$ up. I'm easy on dates, though I prefer prunes

if you go to beeses you can also cycle down the river path on the oppesite to beeses about 2-3 miles to here:

    http://www.lockandweir.com/

which is not as nice as beeses but still worth the ride to

    What's the path like? Roadie-friendly?

Looks definitely worth a trip some time :)

However, do you fancy Tuesday at the Mud Dock next week?

There is access via roads, with a rewarding descent to the pub after the effort of the ride, though the ride home starts with a bugger of a climb. There is also a riverside path from Crews Hole Road which would be flatter.
We could do a dockside pubcrawl on the bikes when/if the warmer and longer days arrive:
Start at The Ostrich, then ride clockwise to The Cottage, Nova Scotia, Pump House, Grain Barge? Then the many bars on Bordeaux Quay and finish at Mud Dock to have the stabilisers fitted for the ride home.

18:00ish at MDs on tuesday 21/04/09?
