Anyone know anything about this https://www.letsride.co.uk/city-ride/bristol?
I was hoping for it to be a replacement for Bristol's biggest bike ride but the lack of detail on the distance makes me think it'll be a small city centre type event.0 -

That looks to be the 'new' SkyRide of old, the last one ion Bristol was more family orientated and was around the city docks and down the Portway as far as Bridge Valley. It seems I've been working when they have these events and on my normal commute too so it means I have to pootle along at single figure speeds making out I'm enjoying the ambience when in reality I want to get going, the good thing though is the Portway was shut to Sylvan Way.
BBBR seems long gone now and will be a few years at least till we see something like that again in Bristol. There are other rides for the more experienced cyclist about, last weekend I went out with a small group from DRTY WKEND and headed down to the bottom of Cheddar Gorge before turning round and riding back up to Bristol, on of our group went off road on the descent of the Gorge in front of the ride leader who had a GoPro running.

Yep, pretty sure that is the re-branded Sky Ride. I did the Sky Ride last year with the Mrs (typical average speed 8mph...), it was nice to have a traffic-free pootle but it's not the place for hacking round at a million miles per hour. Will be doing the HSBC sponsored event with the little-un in tow this year.Rules are for fools.0 -

Yikes . Good thing the drivers were on the ball there. I normally climb up that side of the Gorge after looping through Wells.

Thanks for info. Might take my 5 year old daughter or a mate who just started riding.
Gorge video was a bit of a reminder to take it easy, that Range Rover didn't look too comfy.0
