This is silly really, because I'm not free tonight. Well not until 11ish (post-cinema) anyway...

BUT how about we just establish this thread - so as with the Morpeth one, we can post our availability of a Friday evening and if there's two or three of us fancying a bevvie then we make sure to pop along?

Venue suggestions:
Mud Dock (fairly obviously)
Watershed
The Apple (ciderrrr)
King William
Naval Volunteer
Landogger Trow

...those are just a few central ones I happen to like and that aren't far from plenty of cycle parking (albeit along cobbled streets!) - but I'm generally easy as long as it's not on top of a hill I'm not already having to cycle over ;)

Given my laziness I leave work pretty late so would be likely to just turn up in bike gear (maybe stashing a sweater on the bike somewhere specifically for pubbing) for a couple from 6-7pmish before going home - but then it depends whether I'm supposed to be somewhere later on...

Despite my liking of liquids that give you a headache, I don't know some of these imbibing houses. Pray tell where some of these are.

    Mud Dock (fairly obviously) Know
    Watershed Know
    The Apple (ciderrrr) Don't Know
    King William Don't Know
    Naval Volunteer Don't Know
    Landogger Trow Know

I'm up for it, no trains to miss only cars and taxis on the way home

Landogger would be my favourite, or perhaps the one opposite (can't remember the name) where we could all sit outside with our bikes

    I'm up for this.

    Landogger Trow a good one,

..................but if you want a bit of a ride from town(about 4 miles), we could head down the feeder along the river and catch the boat over the river to here, and I bet (probably)none of you have ever heard of it, its only been there for 163 years:

given enough warning i might be able to heave myself across from bath and then kip over with the outlaws in brizzle. it would be so much easier if i worked in bristol, or even near the middle of bath, but being the middle of nowhere means planning good social beers well in advance.

now the weather is going to be glorious it would a shame not to make the most of it to cycle and drink!

There's a pub called the Old Greg? This calls for a pilgrimage.

Is the outdoor seating comfortable, and do they provide blankets?

We have 2 Old Gregs in London.......... ;-)

On a serious note I think this is great to see that more people are arranging social evenings as the ones up in London have always been great fun, heck if I ever get round to arranging to visit my brother down in brizzle with the bike I might be able to nip along for one myself down there :-)

So any of you Brizzle-ites want to come down here to deepest darkest Devon sometime for a social?

I know of some excellent hostelries down here in Exeter :D

Naval Volunteer As above, two doors along from the King Willy

Not sure to be honest. Doubtful as they both seem proper historic, innit.

Umm, they're both on the side of the road opposite the Old Vic. Not sure if that helps?

Weather ain't currently looking great to sit outside at the Trow, more's the shame.

    So, current attendees are:-

    Attica - til 7
    Redvee - all night?
    Sarajoy - from 7

    Is anyone else coming along?
If we're the sum total of peeps attending I'd be glad to postpone to tomorrow night so that GTV can come along, I'll be able to stay til later too. Don't want to tread on anyones toes though, what does everyone else think?
