    Killing?

    Pontificating?

When fishing i generally release fish but have no problem with killing fish for supper. Shooting obviously involves killing, and eating. Lets not not even start this debate - I do more to protect fish and fisheries than 99% of the population.
  • What people do other things than cycling?

    No really,

    I father my children,
    Work 2 jobs,
    Go to the gym,
    Go to church
    Read books,
Teach Bike Maintenance to the neighbours kids.
    Cook

Come on fella - only winding you up! :D But I do hate a lot about golf, mainly the sneery snobbery that surrounds much of it (and the wholesale destruction of land it engenders i.e Trump in Scotland)! No probs with shooting or fishing (except that I find fishing hugely dull). Country boy at heart though and a strong supporter of country pursuits.

Perhaps I'll take up fishing and golf one day, but only when I'm too decrepit to cycle anymore.

Yeah, i know its very middle aged and stuffy. Try it with a spliff and it rocks though! In the zone.

Sorry, I was irritated by the previous poster...typical Islington type comment.

Look, if you choose the right day it can be fine. You also have to go really slowly and adopt a "sitting on the toilet" position in order to prepare for unexpected patches of grass (which have a significantly different coeficient of friction to snow).
Sometimes the lift systems are even operating.

I'm only going to Finland this year because I want to, not because I have to in order to ski. :?

    Not Islington mate!

I was just checking if you enjoyed killing as a hobby, you could have been shooting clay pigeons for example.

I am pleased if I caused some irritation. I guess it is irritating to get shot or whacked on the head!

By Islington I meant a typically ignorant comment from someone who knows f' all, but enjoys pontificating and sticking their nose, ill-thought out judgements and opinions in others faces. The fact that you enjoy irritating other people says a lot about you.

The idea of golf has been thoroughly spoiled by the requirement to wear the most rancid "smart casual" clothing ever designed.

hehe, I've said it face to face actually, pretty sure Lit knows it's not a chatup line, simply an observation - I don't know many girls that appreciate the XBox & cycling, so Lit is a rare creature in my book!

My last list of what i do was a typical lazy week off work. When i'm not being so lazy i do much less of the sleep, much more of the other stuff (except housework) and also a lot of hill walking, and occasional trips to the local climbing wall.
