hey hey.....long time no talk...apologies for disappearing off the face of the earth for a few weeks....had to play it safe with my instructor exam coming up and all!

But....glad to say I'm qualified now, just waiting for my license and then I'm ready to teach people how to stand sideways! Well......on a n artificial slope but hey my plan for world domination had to start somewhere!

Hope to get out on my bike with you guys again soon! :)

is anybody out riding this weekend or friday....could do with taking my bike out and testing out my new front suss????

and i must say hats off to freetown, fitted front suss for nothing and gave me 3 spacers to lift handle bars up to make downhilling a bit easier for free,a bracket for my brake callipper for free and a new rear mech cable for free....all they charged me for was £5 labour to fit rear mech cable and did it all in a day even tho there was only 2 of them in shop :D

Freetown have done us proud at the academy, gave us a great offer on Cannondale Bikes for our Mountain Biking Club.
I have always had a good service from them.

    hi and welcome mate.....

we normally get out once a weekend either on a saturday or a sunday, ride peaks/north york moors and looking at maybe starting to do dales again.....just recently we have been doing a lot of north york moors riding starting in a place called cockayne which is north of helmsley,we normally make up a ride using os maps, and try to get as much ascent's and descent's as we can......on average we do 18 miles.

if you keep a eye out on here normally post rides up to 4-5 days before we go,and giggsmaster normally posts up the route we will be doing.........more then welcome to join up with us,can be anywhere from 2-10 of us going out depending on if everyone can make it....everyone has diff abilities and bikes, always wait at top and bottom of ups and downs for ppl to catch up. :)

aye, its no problem. Might just end up at Dalby to be honest and see if i can do a decent timed run around the red route. Esp after last time, biking in the rain at dalby killed my brake pads...

  • Hey!

I'd be up for a local ride on this weekend. I should be studying really so can't do a far away jaunt as it'd take up too much time. So if any one fancies a quick one, give us a shout! :)

  • I might be up for a ride on Saturday (because of footy), but then again it all depends if my man flu disappears..... This damn cold has been stuck with me since I decided to go camping last weekend

Hopefully next week the weather might be a bit better so we may be able to arrange a night ride. I was maybe thinking doing a night ride on the Moors sometime, would anyone be up for a laugh, I know Altern would...?

  • Right then people. I'm going to kick start myself into going for a ride. I ain't been out for nearly 3 weeks....!!

So, is anyone up for a ride tomorrow evening? Don't know where yet. Could be local, but that mighty be boggy. Or, like Simon says (?...), we could go to Dalby.

So, is there anyone interested. Had a word with our kid and he is down for a ride out.
