Hey there is nothing wrong with Clio's! lol i've got one! :) I can just about get my bike in with taking the front wheel off. I've stratched all the plastic inside though with my pedals!

Thats cool! Yea you should get out with us all, as Matt says we're not into racing and we wait up for people etc. Its more about having fun and keeping fit :D

I know what you mean about mates, all mine are couch potatos too, rather sit and play on consoles or don't like to get sweaty! Wimps!! Only problem is, once you get started you get bitten by the bug and want to move onto more bigger bikes and bigger trails! You'll soon want a DH bike and a full face lid! he he!

Hah I've got a big blue plastic sheet to keep the clio from the pedals and mud. Yeah i'll keep my eye out for when your all out - i'll come meet up. Think im gunna hit rock city again today...I'm bored already lol

  • Cheers for the ride today lads. Simon, nice to finially get out riding with you! I think i'll have to practice my puncture repair skills! Not to mention look at my now bent multitool. (I did abit of showboating today on a loose dh section, after been warned by Altern-8 about the corner at the bottom, jumped a section and landed on some rocks causing a nice puncture!)

Simon, if you PM me your address I'll drop you a innertube in during the week! Cheer for the help with the puncture and the innertube of course! No photos from me today as I was too busy trying to keep up on my tank! I don't think i'll ever get up the incline on it...

and giggsmaster it's 2 years not 10 years for banana skins 8)

  • SL, i always stick my banana skins in my bag lol, always have, i guess its the idea of the old comics and slipping on them haha.

Anyways, had a great last day at work and got £50 worth of Freetown vouchers :) what to buy what to buy? I think i'm going to invest in a riding top.

To the new guys/gals, as previously said, its all easy going, its all about the 'pleasure' of the ride, though imo the climbs ain't pleasurable at all lol.

I'm free for any riding, for the next month, but would need to car share with someone if they didn't mind too much :P

2 years for bananas...? I think the Sea Life Centre was trying to make people feel more guilty when they were saying 10.

Here are some pics from the ride, which I thought was a good ride for me since I didn't have look at your mugs for 30mins at a time...

We started in Cockayne, headed through Bloworth Wood, then onto Bloworth Crossing, headed North (straight on) at the cross roads, towards Greenhow Bank, then right at the Cain, (1st pic) down the bridleway track, into Baysdale Moor, across the moor (basically following the track). Then through the wood, into Baysdale Abbey (where i had my puncture from showing off)(pics 2-4), then up the road climb back onto Battersby Moor, heading west towards Ingleby Bank (pic 5), down the bank, onto the Incline, bike up/push up it (pic 6), then back to Bloworth crossing where we headed back south, taking the bridleway on the right half about 1/2 a mile (theres a green gate you can't miss it) follow that to bring you out onto Bilsdale East Moor, where you see another Cain just after the track joins with another one on your right. We headed down the track back into Cockayne (where the last pics were taken)

We tend to end up either riding in or around Cockanye alot, theres lots of different routes and loops which are in the area. And its only 2 valleys away from where we also start alot in ChopGate

we do! Just join in :P It tends to be more of a blog type thing, we usually say/post photos of where we have been throughout the week, as you've problaby seen! We mainly tend to ride on a sunday as its the best day for most people to be able to get out and ride, but theres usually someone who can arrange a midweek ride as well.

Dont worry, if only I could upgrade my legs also, I'll certainly be the newbie at the back of the pack although the road to fitness may aswell be an uphill road ! :)

We are mate, I for example will give anything dh type a good go, but struggle with going up hills/riding on the road. Could be a fittness thing as well. We always try to have a good time and have routes with cope for everyone even if you feel like walking parts. We've had some rides latery which have been more hikes with bikes in places... Im sure Altern-8 will back me up on that! And yer, we always have good rest stops, if anything its a good chance to have a natter!
