hope its light enough to push it up the incline0 -
See how it goes AJay85, if there isn't anyone else going for the ride on Sunday apart from people already mentioned, I could probably fit you in the car with me and Altern if you don't mind contributing to fuel.DanielleT wrote:I'VE GOT IT! Whoop! I'll be on a lovely lapierre on sunday!!!
Think I will be stealing a little ride on that baby if you don't mind...0 -

So very jealous about the Lapeire - not so much your paying £50 for the privilege to ride it! But hey, I wont be saying that when I'm weezing half way up a hill lolGiggsmaster wrote:See how it goes AJay85, if there isn't anyone else going for the ride on Sunday apart from people already mentioned, I could probably fit you in the car with me and Altern if you don't mind contributing to fuel.
Thanks, whatever's best for you. I can get dropped off anywhere - save you a detour to Hedon to get me. Just let me know, I can fit one bike in my car so no problem for me to drive myself.0 -

I can't wait to get it! I can get it anytime on saturday too so I maybe having a little play on it before Sunday! I think £50 will be worth it if it helps me decide what bike I want.delightfully dangerous!0 -
Oh yea, I forgot, what time are we meeting up on Sunday? Any chance we can make it an early one please as I have to have the lapierre back at the shop for 5, otherwise its trying to get it back monday morning and they don't open till ten and i'm at work well before that, so a sunday drop off would be better.
We can also give lifts for upto three others too from my end of hull (west hull), my boyf has a VW transporter camp van with a massive bike rack on that can carry 5 bikes easily, so if anyone needs a lift and wouldn't mind contributing to fuel then give us a shout!delightfully dangerous!0 -
Yeah fair enough if you might buy one. Wish I had a spare £2k lol! Early night and drugs for me if im going to get over this damn cold!0

Yeh good idea, im sure they will knock it off the price of the bike if you buy one, just took my trek fuel ex8 out today on the hornsea rail trail for its first ride - sweet ! its funny how a new bike always seems quicker - or is it just the extra enthusiasm !! , I did the same at Ken Ellerkers, paid £35 to use the demo but I had it for a week, then they knocked it off the price when I bought one.
I'm hoping to join in on Sunday but im full of cold at the min so we'll see how it goes, shouldnt have gone out today really but just had to give the bike a blast ! lolOn the long road to fitness....0 -
Yeah, Altern does the 4+ you and gigs inc. me, if not +1.
And i'll obviously chip in some fuel money in exchange for a lift, so whoever can really , PM me and i'll give you my mobile #
On another note, not rock climbing or biking, but as long as my leg doesn't fall off i'm definitely in the RAF as of 28th oct0 -
if ajay and mike get over there colds mate there will deff be 7 of us including you upto now and by sounds of it mate danielle and her b/f will be able to give you a lift as they have plenty of room.......and congrats about getting into raf.0

its about hour and half to get there...so if we was to meet up at cockayne at 9am,set off riding by 9-30am we should be back to cars for about 2-30pm,if things came to the worse there are a few places where you can cut off some of the climbs and decents near the end as giggsmsater found out last week0 -

Coolio! That sounds like a plan to me if thats ok with everyone else? Also which ride are we doing too? We might have to meet up with you guys at some point to get to the meeting point too unless there is a post code/ any good directions?
Yea the 2009 lapierre is in the sale already but I might see if I can get a bit more off it too if I like it. Just hope the size that I want doesn't go whilst i'm making up my mind!delightfully dangerous!0 -

Looks like we are getting a lift with you then.... Ha Ha. Like our kid said could be a good idea for you to pick up Biggus...?DanielleT wrote:Coolio! Think we are doing the 1st Route. The majority of it is definitely rideable, and then all depends on who can conquer the Incline....
So, we are starting in Cockayne. We could probably meet up in Pickering near the two petrol stations at about 0830 if everyone is happy with the early start.0 -
Haha none of you are as slow as me :?
Although a trip to the doctors beckons as even Gary seems to be worried about my wheezing and that must mean it's bad!Ride it like you stole it!0 -

Yup... up bright and early (shouldn't really be watching S.Natural and heroes now with such an early start but hell with it :P)0 -
good ride again today lady and gents, very enjoyable even tho my legs are paying for it tonight, and my thumb is killing me after somebody decided to place a nice rock in the middle of the last downhill which sent me over my handle bars(youre name will be withheld to protect the innocent)0

Great ride today, feel a lot better now after a bit of kip, though i don't know how Stu and Ian made it up the incline, especially with all those ramblers!
Thanks Danielle and Matt again

Got to make my mind up whether to take the plunge and get one this morning, I really want one but the old folks are making it quite clear that they don't agree!!! Ggrrahh!!
I couldn't possibly say who accidently knocked a rock in to your path altern! Seriously many apologies!! I feel quite bad about not looking back and checking to see if something had moved!
Biggus - No probs! Also don't know if its just my computer but the pictures aren't showing up.
