np mate, you could either head down the otherside of Rudland Rigg into Cockanye, or you could head along the rigg and head upto Bloworth Crossing, then head east drop down into Farndale Valley. Then you could either, where the blidalway forks off, head south onto the tarmac road then climb back upto Rutland Rigg at Monkey House. Or Follow the bridalway into Elm House, then just has you hit the tarmac, take the bridelway on the right and cut across to Spout House then again follow the road back to climb up the valley on Monkey House.

I can map it if its easier to follow!

  • Hi all,

How long roughly will your ride out be tomorrow?

I went round Dalby yesterday and from Ennerdale to the Humber Bridge and back this morning so not sure if I can handle a monster marathon, that is if it still ok to join you all.

Plus the Red men kick off at 16:00 (my real reason) hahaha!

(oh and it was you guys and gals who flew past me last week).

it's about 22miles and can take about 3hrs depending on how many there are of us, bike failures and such.

Now then, welcome to the gang! We don't really ride for the speed, or really ride to cover x amount of distance in a set time. Its mainly for a good ride and a good laugh!

Feel free to join us whenever you can :D

Its a possibility if its an earlyish start, I'll keep peeping and see what yer plans are. Weather was foul up in Dales this morning so decided to stick to the road, went over buttertubs pass and nearly got blown off me bike twice!
  • Cheers Matt,

That suits me. I dont really set distance or times before rides unless I am on my own, just that on Sundays I head back to Scotland and tomorrow happens to be the first game of the season for the Reds.

I'll head out for a ride tomorrow with you all if thats ok? I'll maybe head back early if its gets too late for me. That is if you all do not think that is cheeky. It would be good to finally meet you all, and I wont be back for two weeks then I am on holiday. Good times :)

hi there,we do diff routes starting off from humber bridge car park, can be anywhere from 15 to 23 miles depending on whos out with us,and how fit everyone is,we did 23 miles 2night and it took us 2 hours 15 mins ride time, after stopping and talking we was out for 3 hours,if we go out further a field like moors/dales or peaks we always take in to consideration the terrain we are riding,so again anywhere from 15 to 25 miles.......i wouldnt worry about being left behind if you come out with us,as we always wait for ppl and stop and have a chin wag and dont have any fixed time on how long the rides should take....... :D
