Might go out for ride tomorrow if anyone wants to join up let me know.

And I would if I had my bike back from the LBS, put it in for its service before I went on honeymoon. No news yet, apart from a phone call telling me its going to cost around £250....

So, as soon as I get it back I should be out and about during the week to try and get some fitness going.

tell me about the never ending repair bill that is MTB I think I'm going to have to replace the bottom bracket on the hardtail, they only seem to last about 6 months might try a hope this time.

    how was the holiday

The holiday was spot on. Nothing but chilling to be done, the Island we were on was tiny. Probably the width of a football pitch, and about 15 minutes to walk the length of it.

There were about 200 people on the Island, but you hardly ever saw anyone else. Sometimes, there were only myself and the other half on the beach. I suppose it was torrential rain at the time....

I defo need to work off the extra weight I have gained around the stomach area though...

I'm not at work on wed so if you got space for me in the car I am more than happy to make up the numbers and contribute towards cost, unfortunately I don't have car during the week.

Sorry it took so long to respond, but I have been waiting for Matt to find out if he was working on Weds or not.

Unfortunately he is, so we have changed the ride to Thurs Evening, probably looking to leave Hull about 4ish. Might leave abit earlier if we can, should get back around 10ish, depending on my fitness....

If you can still make it let us know and then we can sort out travel arrangements.

Just done a quick 15 mile around near me, bloody hell its hot. It took quite abit out of me. I struggled on a small uphill.....

Well thats not too bad if you get home for 2ish. Would it be a possible for you to get to Kingswood or would that be a pain?

I have got no worries in dropping you off, but you know what traffic can be like getting across town in the afternoon.

You can probably ride across, 10 mile on road to you is nothing.....

We sometimes go to Hornsea and back, or go around Hessle with Barkey. Other than that we go onto the Moors, Dales or Peaks.

Good stuff. I am just looking at the OS Map at the moment trying to work out a nice little route for us.

I'll get your No. off Altern and text you to let you know where I live. If you have been to Quake's place, mine is just round the corner.

Most of us on here mainly do a local loop during the week, then travel bit further on weekends. With the weather as it is and me being off work, I might do further a field during the week. This won't last though because I am back at work sometime next week.

Just looking at a ride what starts of in a place called Church Houses, thing is there is hills on either side, so we have to climb straight away...

Its about 20 mile, with a few hard graft of ascents (well for me anyway) but some good descents. As Matt could agree with, because we have done some of the route before.

And a bail out in case my legs ain't up to it....

Yeah, I would like to be out of Hull by about 3ish, so we can get up there by about 5.

It all depends on what time Barkey can get off work and your repair guy though, so like I say about 5 for meeting up.
