Well, I don't whether I will make the ride.... I'm finding it difficult to walk in a straight line. My leg is painful to say the least, big bruise is spreading over the top of the leg....

Still enjoyed the ride though. I like the pic just before I bailed. Might take it easy on the next few descents...

Now the Stu, looked like a great nights ride from what i've seen in Barkeys pics. Nice pics mate, love the light! Unfortunately I was abit messed about by the repair guy, who was abit moody as well... I got a text from some friends over Guisborough way just after i'd finished texting you, so i spent Thursday night out in Guisborough forest doing the black route and alot of hidden trails, lots of fun. Did include some nice jumps and drops. (the forks still work too! lol)

Added you to my contact list on Flickr, Barkey. Hope you don't mind.

This is the route we did a week last Thursday night too www.bikehike.co.uk/mapview.php?id=11299

Alot of fun, theres a great gully run as you head away from Roseberry topping too.

We should sort out a ride soon lads, im back working now so my free days are Monday pm/evening, all day tuesday, all day thursday and all day Sunday.

Er.... No I didn't. It was me again who came off, it was abit further up this time. Took most of the descent pretty good, but at the last moment just as I was saying to Barkey I need some more travel I hit a gulley. Coming back down on my bars with them hitting top of leg and missing my crown jewels by a whisker.

yea it was a good ride mate, bit tiring tho with it being first ride out and with the heat....

it wasnt a case of our kid hitting the gully mate, you couldnt see it,as it was full of grass on a corner,so as our kid turned the corner, his front wheel slipped into it, :o

i had no sympathy for him,as i didnt get any when i did my ankle

hes got a nice bruise now tho........

If you dnt mind I'll tag along tomorow (thats if my bikes ready, taking it to Freetown for service).

Anyone know of a price for a fork service, because my forks are clunking at the 130-140 mark and its not under the warrenty (or any crash for that matter).

Giggs> Where abouts on the moors is that?

Hi, just joined up today and was happy to see 'hull' mentioned after a few minutes of looking around (this doesn't happen very much)
Im from Market Weighton but used to live in South Cave, iv only just got back into mtb after a good 6/7/8 year dark patch.
Iv nearly finished building my new bike and was wondering if anyone new of any rides around Market Weighton way that i could have a blast around on a week night without having to drive any where??
