  • I used to know the Wrekin well, got some nice bomb holes over the road from the main entrance to play in, if you add in the other stuff over the road and do the Wrekin I guess it's enough just.

The steep side down is really damn steep though, remember showing off infront of this huge breasted lady and failing miserably and painfully on that :)

Wrekin's north of Telford so I'd guess very similar.

R34per, lucky git, got to work tommorow, joys of selfemployeed mean I get to skive alot though.

Not sure what I am doing in the morning, after the epic and very hilly road ride with Sean yesterday my legs are a little sore :-)

Is anyone else available in the morning ?

    Reaper,

Sku.16092 is the best one to go for. Best regulated P7 i have seen/used.

Or http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12060 if you want to save a bit of money,

i would recommend a 5 mode over a 2 as 5 mode uses PWM rather than a resistor and the med mode on the 5 is brighter than the low on a 2, and therefore more usable, med lasts about 5 hours on both from what i have read!

Charger = http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.6105 Dont forget the UK plug adaptor Sku 2709.

    Batteries = http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.5790

2 is enough really as you'll use medium most of the time, but 4 if you worry, i hardly ever change batteries so 2 will be fine.

You missed a good (dry) ride today :-) I have been out a lot this week as its been so dry.

Some sections are still muddy, camber, garlic and the caravan run are dry and quick....

I met up with eddyesi this morning, a nice steady pace...about 2.5 hours and around 14 miles in total.

Sorry if I woke you up this morning Sean ;-)

Anyone up for a visit to a Welsh trail centre over the next couple of weeks or so ? :-)
As the last CYB trip was iinterrupted by bad weather.

i was up quite late messing with the bike and got everything off one of my other bikes ready to build it back up in the morning for the ride but the combination of late night and working through my christmas stock of beer  put an end to it all when i slept through my alarm so i would have had to push myself round anyway with no bb in
the worst thing is that i even managed to avoid finishing it today so it should hopefully be done tomorrow afternoon after my road ride or maybe tuesday   :?
although over the next couple of weeks i plan to get the orange rebuilt into a s/s rigid trail machine for situatons like this and hopefully in the next month or so get a car sorted so if i am ever running late i dont have a 40-60min ride to catch up first.

Am I correct in thinking that you have bought a bike from Two Wheels in Stourbridge or I am getting you mixed up with someone else?

If so, are they any good to deal with, as I am looking at the Whyte range of bikes and they are one of the closest stockists to me.

Anyone else used them at all ?

    Cheers. :-)

Been to Two Wheels a few times, they won't sell black spokes sums it all up LOL, dunno why just don't like them.

The only LBS I'd recommend in this area is Worcester Specialist Cycles, Stuart and Erica I think it is, loads of mates have used them no hassle.

Race Co, Paul he's a good chap, but his after sales backup lacks sadly, too much for him to do on his own.

And Stourport Cycles AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Had about 5 bikes of them now they are very good after sales is excellent. I bought a SC superlight of them once and broke the frame they gave me a top of the range kona to use until my replacement frame arrived how many bike shops would do that ?

    When's the next ride ?
  • I've always used two wheels and they are very good although they messed up fitting some sealed gear cables on my 09 ex8 messed me about 2  was sooo p!$$%) took it back and fairplay to em they fixed it up a treat even changed the worn front bearings free of charge.was thinking of going elsewhere but they always give me a discount without asking and you could have problems with any shop you use..very happy with them before this and will use them again they sorted the problem and did the extra work can't ask for any more :(:):D speak to andy, will do you the best deal.
