I don't actually get it. What is it, don't post a picture I don't want to loose my job.

    Lose, for FFS, it's LOSE.

Sorry, am in a very grumpy mood - this week has dragged on for ever - and I have allowed my pedantry to get the better of me.

    But I still saying it.

You know one of these days someone is going to tell you they suffer from a dyslexia where typing accurately is near impossible for them and it actually takes them a lot of courage to go online and engage with people because they find their 'condition' embarrassing.

When the above dawns on you, you should feel pretty shitty about yourself for your lack of tolerance and arrogance born out of the assumption that everyone should have the same competent grammatical and spelling skills as yourself.

    Coriander, your myself's hero.
Today is a good day to ride
  • oh dear.... £2k on the road bike then got fed up post Devil Ride and headed for the hils and spent another £1500 on an Iron Horse... add in the bits of kit and I reckon I'm at £4k total.... no wonder I'm driving a volkswagen polo with bald tyres.

Regardless of what or how much I write. My point still stands. It doesn't matter if I was referring to myself or someone else, the heavy handed correcting of what others write - and making an excpetion of them as you like to do me - is unnecessary, off putting, intimidating and rude.

I think your response shows you up for the pompous pr**k that you are.

Firstly, you weren't trying to criticise me in any manner constructive or otherwise so don't try to take the moral highground. You were being rude and patronising. Your accusations of me being bitchy towards many other site users is also unfounded.

Secondly, my original point still stands it is in poor taste to feel it appropriate to come online and correct people on their grammar and/or spelling when that person may have difficulties in such areas.

Okay, if we're being civil: yes, it would be presumptuous to correct someone's grammar if there are clear indications they may have a problem with dyslexia or similar. You are the opposite! You clearly take pride in your writing (and it can be very eloquently put, such as your paean to commuting) so why not take Cori's comment constructively. It's a common spelling error, it's not just you. Ditto apostrophes.

As for my original comment, if you're going to abuse my friends (without justification IMHO) then I'm going to fight their corner. Wouldn't you do the same?
