    Yes, you have a problem.
After racking my brains for all of ten seconds, I have an inspired method that will just about halve your spending: when you want something buy one, not two. :)

Grr - how come when I order from Wiggle and go for free delivery the goods arrive without exception the next day; and yet when I pay for priority delivery, needing the helmet I ordered to arrive Friday at the latest, am I sat here hoping against hope that they'll do a late delivery today?

Recently purchased Continental GP4000S x 2. After 200 or so miles all i can say is that these tyres are awesome. Very grippy and quick.

  • Right, I've decided to do some fettling to the BSO.

Firstly, some (bargain alert) lights from Wiggle:

Next, I got some brake pads, as I decided being able to stop might have advantages at times.

Lastly I thought a decent multi-tool might be in order:

Dog tag for my shoe with my name on it. That's all :(

What's the point on having one on your shoe?!

Some people used to do that when I was in the forces but if the worst happens and you are involved in an accident and your shoe comes off then it's useless - plus the emergency services wont be walking round looking for your shoe!!!

It's better off around your neck!

What happens if your head comes off?

This. I want this. I want a CX bike:

    http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/ProductDe ... &CatID=106

I know this isn't a "Review" section, but I'd be grateful for comments from our resident CX weirdos ( ) on the frame because I want to use it to race (mixed ability of a low level) and it's noticeably cheaper than the frames you see on, eg, Wiggle.

    Is that not ITB's frame?

Not of course suggesting that he is a weirdo.

That is indeed my CX frame and I'm very pleased with it in fact i'd go so far as to say it's the best handling buy I own and it looks cool.

Come on cjcp it's £100 what have you got to lose

weirdo is a fair label after all I've met in person people from the Internet, how odd is that

All that moaning I did about wanting a frame with fancy lugs seems to have paid off. A lovely old chap across the street gave me one for free this morning while I was cleaning mine! :D

I got myself some fancy lugs this week - cost me slightly more than free though :). But I still think my Kapu was a bargain... gorgeous steel frame, ultegra groupset... £700. First chance to take it for a popper ride today - love it :D .

Didn't buy it myself, but given a Garmin 705 with HR/Cad etc for my birthday, plus a trip to Epic to get my bike fit checked - seems I've been riding for years with my saddle two inches too high
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

I say ol' chap. I don't think the landscape round here was made with FGSS in mind. Some of these hills are just not cricket.

Ace! I'm current;y deciding on a paint scheme for it. I can't decide whether I want polished lugs with gold detailing, or gold lugs with black detailing.

Just blew the weekly budget on a new water bottle from Tesco for 96p. My old Zefal bottle still works just looking tatty after nearly 10 years of being thrust into my mouth.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
