Hehe... always think it's funny when guys buy a blatent non-commuting bike in the C2W scheme... Obviously if you are a lumberjack or similar i withdraw my comment ;)

:D Yeah... I've known people to buy bling TT bike frames and then continue to use their car for commuting. At least I do use a bike, if not the one I got under the C2W scheme. \o/

Don't tell the several people in my office who have RockHoppers in the parking garage that!

Cateye Micro Wireless speedo + two inner tubes.

I went in for two inner tubes, but I'm fed up swapping the speedo over to my nice bike from my commuter and back again!

I have that one. I only just worked out how to reset the trip meter last thursday. I'd had it for about 2 weeks and had tried just about every button combo but the one that did it

This multi-tool looked far too cheap to miss @ £6.50 in my local Tesco. It certainally has many more 'toys' than my old halfwits one and seems more solid. A little chunky and clunky, but surely you cannot go wrong for £6.50!?

Might need a paintjob, drops and a new saddle before i feel at home mind. Its still a lush ride compared to my old Alu Pinnacle.

    gabriel,

very nice bike. Just out of interest, did you consider he planet-x ti dura ace deal and if so what swung you towards the silk road. Not criticising your choice, just interested in the pros and cons.

    Good question!

I did see it, really good deal considering is Full Dura Ace but to be honest with you I was looking more into entry level carbon fibre bikes at the time than other Ti bikes!

The 4 factors that made me go for the Silk Road were:

1.) Price – the deal I got on this Silk Road was amazing and although not as well specced as the Planet X it was definitely an offer I could not let go. I could also use my works CycleScheme with no extra fees to pay (with Planet X is 10% more!), they are also more flexible as they have let me buy the bike before I have the voucher.

2.) Sabbath as a brand – they have got lifetime warranty on their frames and an excellent crash replacement policy. I have also read that there hasn’t been a Sabbath frame failure to date – where as with VN, Litespeed/Linskey there have been some reported failures.

3.) Service – Sabbath gives me a warmth nice feeling of being an important customer, it is almost like a long distance LBS if you know what I mean.

4.) Exclusivity – I haven’t seen a lot of Planet X bikes that is true, but even truer is that I have never seen a Sabbath/Sunday bike around where I live.

    Yep, nice bike, gabriel.

Wasn't aware of the above either. Will check it out as Ti is something I'm considering next time round, whenever that is.

me too - I bought the grey/grey/black ones, in large (I'm about 5'11 and about 73kgs 32 in waist) and the cut and fit seems spot on for me, decent looking Kiss pad as well, comfy and well shaped...

not used them in anger but will do on sunday for manchester-blackpool

You will definately find yourself trying to beat your average speed - so don't get one with that function!

I found I just used the time function on mine. I always broke the sensor off though.
