Fortunately my feet are Giro shaped.
Wore my Empires for the first time today, having let them sit in a cupboard to age for two years. They were lovely, and no sign of the occasional hot spot my Factors give me on my left foot from the ratchet buckle.Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX

Castelli Omloop Pro Nanoflex bibs. 45% off plus TCB. Went for medium rather than my normal Castelli large and seem to fit well, probably due to lack of seams. Have also ordered normal Nanoflex bib shorts to see which I prefer but they're not due til tomorrow. Getting a little cooler in the early mornings so fancied some fleecier shorts rather than my 3/4s from previous years...Titus Silk Road Ti rigid 29er - Scott Solace 10 disc - Kinesis Crosslight Pro6 disc - Scott CR1 SL - Pinnacle Arkose X 650b - Pinnacle Arkose singlespeed - Specialized Singlecross...& an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4 string...0 -
Club kit: Sportful Bodyfit s/s jersey, bibs & windstopper gilet. I'm a bit nervous about the bibshorst, and I hope L in Sportful is not any smaller than L in my Castelli Omloops.
On top of that, a dhb aeron full protection soft-shell jacket, and Sportful norain arm warmers (b/c Castelli Nanoflex+ went out of stock while I was having second thoughts.)0 -
Managed to puncture Marathon Plus Touring on some shredded hawthorn on Friday, sadly my mini pump had if not died became up well, due to lack of use and being kept in a wet place!
So bought a new pump, since space and weight isn’t a issue got a larger one a floor pump apparently mini looks suspicious like a frame pump to me! A Flynt HP2.MFP used it on some test pumping seems easy to use, hopefully I can take it rather than my track pump. For trips and what not.0 -

was fairly impressed myself! it was in fairness though clearly a puncture a slow one, lasted a number of hrs I had pulled the offending sprig out, since it was tapping. and continued another 5 miles plus Lunch etc, before the tyre felt squishy!0 -

Only ordered late yesterday afternoon, but after a load of "maybe" items to my PX basket, then seeing the total and nearly spewing coffee all over my keyboard before whittling away at what I could really do with in the short term...
Selcof carbon 27.2 post (hopefully to reduce road buzz to my lower back)* [only one left now, if anyone is interested]
Flanders (non-pro) jersey
365 Compression Leg warmers*
2x Nightwolf bottle cages (one of my PX Fangs split by top bolt hole last week, probably repairable, gives me set for Voodoo again)
Coolmax white Arm warmers*
Fit Mitts (loops between finger holes)
Sleeveless base layer* (only £5, worth trying)
1x pair Sorbek socks (to see if they are as good as the old On One Thinnies)
1x pair "backup" silicone cr2032 lights
Not a bad basket IMO for just under £120 with free del. Apparently it has been shipped, not that I've had an e-mail as yet.
* First foray into stuff cycling gizmos, I must be getting serious!
Already wondering if I should have kept one item I removed from basket in the order, plus seen other stuff I missed while brain-fried with a head cold while scouring site, could well be another order in very near future.================

Ok, so I have been a bit remiss in letting you guys know what was in the box, but the time has come.
The disclaimer is that I do feel a bit embarassed, as I appreciate I can never do this bike justice, and it's way way way beyond my abilities, but I just fell in love with it
That's a library pic, as you may well have guessed, as is this actually:
Anyway, I digress - I am already making alterations, and will be working on it as time allows over the next few months, and hoping to find some time over Christmas, aiming for a maiden voyage in the spring.
I will be selling the stock wheels, and have some Mavic Cosmic Exalith wheels to replace them, just waiting for new fluro decals.
Supacaz cages are bought already:
Vector 2's will be fitted, and I'm changing the rear cassette from the stock 11-30 DA to a 11-28 R8000.
Additionally I have bought a 36 inner ring, so will be swapping out the stock 39 for the 36, going to discover if the system can handle a 17T drop or not.
I also have a KMC chain I bought last year to fit:
In time I have some Supacaz tape to go on it too, but I have to make sure I am happy with the standard cockpit first.
Oh and I'm also getting one of the Synchros out front mounts fluro'd up by raceware direct, who make custom mounts themselves, but don't have one available for this cockpit yet.
I will put pics somewhere once I have it all up and together 8)Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

Well the weather is ropey already, and this will be for guaranteed good conditions only.
Do you recall how many years it took me to get my CR1 all built and sorted, think it was 2 (or 3?) years perhaps
I may have it sorted well before Christmas, and if a good dry day pops out of the mire of mediocrity, then I may well be tempted ;-)
I'm going to start running it with all the factory spacers (As it has come to me) and then as I continue to bludgeon and stretch myself on the turbo bike, I will aim to be lowering that as time goes on.
Also meant to add, I stumbled on a good deal, as would never have been able to buy it at full rrp.
Still unable to fathom why Evans had it for sale for £500 more than everywhere else, but even they managed to sell them all!
Suspect that Scott cut down on supply this year, as most places are sold out in most sizes already, where as the 2017 model I latterly have found out was discounted a fair amount, both as a complete bike and frame only.
Will be a nice partner in crime to my beloved CR1 (same frame material too), although the CR1 will likely be a bit grumpy with me, as the Cosmics were meant for it, but have now been reallocatedFelt F70 05 (Turbo)

Thanks PT, and thanks for your assistance recently - now I have it hung up in the dining room, I can definitely see that the front fork is that bit longer than a standard fork.

Not like that!Bike sex man placed on probation
A man caught trying to have sex with his bicycle has been sentenced to three years on probation.
Robert Stewart, 51, admitted a sexually aggravated breach of the peace by conducting himself in a disorderly manner and simulating sex.
Sheriff Colin Miller also placed Stewart on the Sex Offenders Register for three years.
Mr Stewart was caught in the act with his bicycle by cleaners in his bedroom at the Aberley House Hostel in Ayr.
Gail Davidson, prosecuting, told Ayr Sheriff Court: "They knocked on the door several times and there was no reply.
"They used a master key to unlock the door and they then observed the accused wearing only a white t-shirt, naked from the waist down.
"The accused was holding the bike and moving his hips back and forth as if to simulate sex."
Both cleaners, who were "extremely shocked", told the hostel manager who called police.
Sheriff Colin Miller told Stewart: "In almost four decades in the law I thought I had come across every perversion known to mankind, but this is a new one on me. I have never heard of a 'cycle-sexualist'."
Stewart had denied the offence, claiming it was caused by a misunderstanding after he had too much to drink.
The bachelor had been living in the hostel since October 2006 after moving from his council house in Girvan.
He now lives in Ayr.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

Cracked my pair of these out for the first time this morning, absolutely spot on - nice and breathable, but kept the cold out. Love their thin backing, so many are really chunky.
