    Damn it I just cant get on with my Fizik R whatever shoes because of the higher than normal arches and i have high arches anyway, and the rather well made DHB aeron carbon soled i bought i can feel the ridges around the air vents, which starts to bug me after 20+ miles.

    I need wide fitting shoes that are not too heavy, well made and dont cost the earth. Surely someone out there has such a thing?

    And then on eBay, there's lots of stems the same size from manufacturers nobody has heard of. At a great price of around £10. And shared nearly the same paint job of the Profile Design stem. Well the paint job is mostly black anyway with hints of white. Its too late to stop my order on Tredz. The stem's being sent to my house.

    You can't go wrong with the K-Alloy Uno. 15 quid off eBay on a bad day. Invest another score for Ti bolts and it's 100g or slightly less. Had them on all my bikes till I changed one to match the handlebars. New stem much more expensive, not a hair stiffer nor any lighter.

    Much as I love the Elite cages, they tend to be a very tight pairing with the peerless (IMHO) Camelbak podium bottles I use.

    Collected my Halfords order from the flash sales last week...
    Topeak bar/seat post cage mount (fiddly to install, but secure)
    Camelbak Big Chill bottle (colder water than in my other two bottles last night)
    ANC Halfords jersey (decent quality, slightly loose fit on torso but snug on waist and arms, seemed reasonably breathable considering I was wearing bib shorts under it last night, do wish it had a longer zip though)
    Disc pad set for Voodoo (but I'm curious if they will also fit the Cube's br505 calipers, albeit they don't have the fins)
    Spare set of bottle cage bolts (thought Topeak came without them, wrong!)

    Not bad for ~£40 with BC discount.

    Finally got around to buying new bars. Picked up a set of narrower Deda Elementi bars and some Supacaz Super Sticky Kush Galaxy bar tape which ive head good things about.
