Cannondale Bad Boy 2 to replace my aging Boardman Hybrid.
Going to take some creativity to get a front full mudguard on it though I think! I know it can be done though as i've seen them online.FCN 7

A bearing set for my Hope rear hub from Evans, asked how long to book it in and was told 2 weeks  and similar for other shops in Bristol. I've got the skills to do it myself but not the tools so happy to pay to have it done.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0

SKS mudguards - old ones lasted around 9 years before I got past the point of being able to bodge them to stay together following splits/cracks.
Insoles - Giro ones with a choice of arch supports to try and get more comfort.
Degreaser.
All from Evans with 10% off BC voucher (only for parts and accessories so didn't apply to degreaser).0 -

Only needed a replacement silicone band for my Exposure TraceR, but ended up ordering this to get free postage....NRS Riding Spectrum jersey in forest green camo and flouro. The fabric is supposed to light up when picked up by car headlights. Bit "time-poor" at the minute so some more night riding is on the cards!
...and this:
3ltr handlebar dry bag. Same as the Alpkit Gnarro but almost half the price. Been after something like this for a while and fits the bill nicelyTitus Silk Road Ti rigid 29er - Scott Solace 10 disc - Kinesis Crosslight Pro6 disc - Scott CR1 SL - Pinnacle Arkose X 650b - Pinnacle Arkose singlespeed - Specialized Singlecross...& an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4 string...0 -

Like that L2R, have taken a punt on a small, but am not hopeful from reading a review elsewhere that suggests it's a long way from fitted around the arms and body.
And btw, can't believe you are taking the luvverly yellow decals of those Scott wheels!Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

Christ the size of that TV.
That bike looks seriously, seriously nice. I wonder how tidy you can get the front end? Probably run the di2 cable into the same hole as the brake cable.0 -
A pair of these:

Hopefully the full frame will be stronger than the half frame ones from Aldi I snapped a couple of weekends ago when trying to straighten them up0 -

Hah, TV isn't massive massive. 49 inch.
Plan will be to get the bar end junction and run the cables internally. Run left shifter into right shifter, then right into the bar end, and bar end into frame. Since you can daisy chain everything with current Di2 (and the shifters have 2 ports I think) rather than having to have it all run into a junction box.

Wouldn't Rose supply the bike set up like that?0 -
Ultegra R8000 shifters, chainset, front mech, rear mech, brakeset and BB30 to 24mm adaptor.
Now just need to buy some time to fit...0 -

...and now the matching cap. Lightweight breathable fabric (don't get on with cotton caps) and highly reflective underside on the brim.
DB: You may be ok with the jersey sizewise, though I can just about squeeze into the small myself. Jersey above arrived yesterday, and managed to try it today.
Slightly to big around the body, and arm grippers are not flush, so has to go back.
:-( Real shame, as feels like a top quality bit of kit, easily an £80 to £100 jersey in an other make, and for 'only' £50. Imho, exceedingly good vfm.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

I bought a stem called 'profile design' from Tredz. Its 110mm with a 17 dgree rise. I want to use the negative end so I can get low. The stem cost me £27 including the £5 discount.
Before I got Profile Design, I returned the Specialized stem the same size back to Evans Cycles. That was £40. It's just a stem. Why pay so much for just a bloody stem? Does it have diamonds in it or 24 carat gold in it?
I wanted to get the 110mm, 17 degree rise stem from Planet X for just £8 but its sold out and had to get Profile Design instead. That Planet X stem looks wicked. I loved the looks of it.
And then on eBay, there's lots of stems the same size from manufacturers nobody has heard of. At a great price of around £10. And shared nearly the same paint job of the Profile Design stem. Well the paint job is mostly black anyway with hints of white. Its too late to stop my order on Tredz. The stem's being sent to my house.0 -

Just be wary with the seat tube clamp - I have it on good authority that they have had LOTS of problems with them. If you stick to manufacturer torque then the seatpost slips all the time but they have had lots come back cracked where people have tightened them to stop the slippage.0 -

That is a shame Dan. Worn mine a few times now, and the subtle reflectives over the back and shoulders really "pop" after dark when illuminated by headlights. Bit snug on me as have some timber to lose, but decided its a keeper...Titus Silk Road Ti rigid 29er - Scott Solace 10 disc - Kinesis Crosslight Pro6 disc - Scott CR1 SL - Pinnacle Arkose X 650b - Pinnacle Arkose singlespeed - Specialized Singlecross...& an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4 string...0 -

Surely just use a nice layer of carbon paste before assembly and then torque up and all should be good !?.. Or are we taking a true design issue :?0 -

Short answer is:
It's the Xeon CWX
(https://www.rosebikes.co.uk/bikemodel/xeon-cwx-disc/100)
Long answer is:
It's actually vanished from their website recently.
I ordered a 54cm frame. Then had a bike fit and for its intended use (mostly tri/TT) I decided a 51 would be better. Phoned them up and they said they were out of 51s but next year's model was being built imminently. Same geometry but it'd have the new paint job which they thought looked cleaner anyway. Decided to go for it without seeing what it'd look like and I think it looks nicer than the old models. Less fussy.
The CW (rim brakes) and CWX (disc) actually share the same frame. Mine has mounts for rim brakes down by the BB in an aero position etc. The only difference is the fork.
As to why it's gone from the website. I reckon the Xeon CWX was messing up their sales of the top of the range X-Lite CWX.
Xeon and X-Lite share the same geometry. The X-Lite just uses a stiffer carbon layup so they can use a bit less of it and it comes in ~200g lighter.
But the X-Lite was about 4k and the Xeon was 2.1k (before the wheelset upgrade). For Ultegra r8070 (di2/discs) Same sort of spec as an Aeroad but for £1500 less.
Honestly I couldn't think of a reason why I'd spend so much more for 200g difference, and I guess that's what other customers thought too. So I suspect Rose made the Xeon a rim brake only option so that people would have to go for the X-Lite if they wanted discs.
And I was just lucky to get it before that happened.
That said, Rose customer service is superb and it wouldn't surprise me if they'd be willing to do a Xeon CWX if someone phoned and asked. They were really helpful with my order.0 -
Nice bikes are Rose. In fact I always thought I would only keep mine for a year, but nothing else anywhere near as good for the price.
Anyway the Ultegra DI2 version of the Rose CW-X ids not bad at £2947 with some nice wheels

Looks useful. If they only had S2, Note1 or Note3, I'd be in. But seriously, who proof read this:Rokform wrote:Our Galaxy Bike Mount allows you to take your S3, S4 or S5 on your next ride with you. With our ultra light superior aluminum constructed iphone bike mount you can be confident your phone will stay in place no matter how hard you ride. Start enjoying your favorite apps (like Strava), music and navigation with ease. With a dual retention lock system that encompasses both our magnet kit and RokLock mounting technology, you can be assured your device is safe. And just in case that’s not enough, a removable wrist lanyard adds a 3rd layer of protection. Don't compromise on quality when deciding which Samsung Galaxy Bike Mount to choose for your bike. Choose ultimate protection and sleek style for your iPhone and your bike.
I just got one of these for a Google pixel. Great concept and when it works, it works wonders. It will randomly come loose if riding on less than ideal smooth asphalt... Seems to vibrate causing the stem cap screw to loosen. Anyone else have a similar issue or recommendations on how to fix this? The mount would be a shame to scrap because it does tick all the boxes of functionality, clean looks, and lightness.
