I bought a yellow version of one of those, which would come as a shock to some, but there was no way on earth I was going to be able to feed a wing style set of bars (3T Ergonova) in without gouging the cr@p out of the finish, so back it went :-(
Was a pretty good price IIRC, at least versus RRP - perhaps £110 - had Wiggle price match it from somewhere.

Going tubeless so new wheels, fed up up getting punctures from pot holes and the tubes having multiple nips as a result. So bought Reynolds Assault wheels and Schwalbe Pro Ones. Hoping there is no turning back or it’s an expensive experiment.

I got some assault wheels end of last summer and I'm running them with tubeless tyres - hutchinson galactik in my case.
You may find the Pro One's hard to fit, but it will be worth it.

You're not helping. I just spent 15 minutes trying to work out if I could justify an S5 ultegra for £2999......

Yes, I've just had that realization, the hovers are semi aero but there's the link in the centre to contend with!

Cycliq Fly6 CE. Tried the Aldi knock-off last year but wasn't impressed. After hearing about a few serious hit-and-runs at our club I decided the outlay for the upgraded Fly6 would be a decent insurance policy. Feels like a quality product so far, but slightly narked it doesn't come with an SD card.

Decent price from Sigma, £30 off list.

Interesting - what issues did you have the aldi one? would be quite interested in a "side by side" comparison of picture quality etc.
(Yes, the new CE one is quite a lot smaller)

The recording was a bit hit-and-miss, and battery seemed to die a lot earlier than I thought it should (2 hrs into a cold wet ride). Finally, the velcro strap wasn't the best and when I hit a pothole it dropped and I lost the wedge holding the camera tight to my seat post. Returned it after that.

Don't have any of the old files to do a side-by-side but the Fly6 CE now has image stabilisation. There's a good old Vs new Fly6 video on YouTube which persuaded me to get the newer version. IS and 60 FPS make a big difference.

    Pactimo Alpine Thermal jersey.

    https://www.pactimo.co.uk/collections/m ... sey-mens-2

Seems the usual excellent Pactimo quality. Went for the orange which is nice and bright and has plenty of reflectives too so should be good for early morning outings.

I suspect it will be pretty warm and potentially usable in some fairly low temps with a decent baselayer. Reasonable value too with the usual discount code.

In response to people accusing me of being a mechanical idiot and not being able to break a chain, I've bought a new chain (izumi track chain), a toppeak chain tool and some C3 wet muc off lubricant.

The first two specifically to revive my SS, which shan't be taken out of its abusive service quite yet, as I shall be using it to cycle to the next station along every other week day.

Sent these back - they were more of a custardy yellow that the nice vibrant yellow I like - bonus due to light weight, and prudent packaging means I managed to send them back as a large letter for only 89 pennies :D

Specialised MTB Comp Shoes in Titanium and Black in Isle of Wight size for £35.
Cheers for the ebay 20% off notice, going to be pondering which to keep - the dhb troika or the comps if they fit

Unfortunately the MTB comps are about a size too small. Annoying, considering that I'm wearing specialised Tahoe in 48s already.
And cos I can't return them, they are heading to the for sale section shortly.
Intent on Cycling Commuting on a budget, but keep on breaking/crashing/finding nice stuff to buy.

The LP mid weight jersey - be interested to hear what you make of it.
Also be interested to hear what he fit is like, as historically I have found them too broad across the chest.
If you don't mind me asking (Pm if you prefer) what chest size are you, and what size did you plump for?
You chose THE best colour as well, you must be some kind of fashionista.

38 inch chest. Went medium as I like my jerseys close fitting which this definitely is. I think LP is my favourite manufacturer at the moment, although Etxeondo come a close second for me but their colours are a bit meh most of the time.

QFT! Etxeondo colours make it look like they kept the designer for way too long under basque xirimiri, and can not remember what sunlight was. Or how it felt. Damnit, if it's going to rain more than twice as much as in Edinburgh, maybe we'll splash some colour here and there to forget about it.

I have an enormous head and someone got me a Rapha cap for christmas that fits, so it isn't just Smiths but those definitely look good.

I'll have to double check what size the Rapha one is.
