Probably that NRA connection bringing them down

If they didn't have the orange bit on the green ones, I'd give a pair a go.

I ordered them with the BC discount for £116 not worried about the colour but slightly concerned about the shinyness if you know what I mean. Need to see em in the flesh!

Got these, since my present commuting shoes are a) too soft soled and b) far too well vented!

I’m hoping they will be good for both on the bike, and pottering about in work as i do change shoes at the moment which is a faff.

Eeek, have just entered for this, via BC - still a huge wodge of cash to my mind, but with other personal events this year, and not getting into Ride London, thought this was worth a crack - parking added on to.

Might see if my gf wants to ride it too.

Anyone buying a chainwhip should get this one from decathlon: https://www.decathlon.co.uk/chain-whip- ... 09913.html

It's just brilliant. Sure, it' more expensive, but it's worth it.

And the money trickle continues. Cycling is so tough for us pennypinchers.

This time I got a bottle Muc-off drivetrain cleaner (500ml, being 25% cheaper per litre than the 750ml one), a box of nitrile gloves and then a set of glueless patches and a Crank Brothers M17 multitool to replace the one stolen last week.

Over £1 per mile. Wow. I might have been tempted at £70 which is still pretty steep but I'd want to start in the first few waves to not be stuck behind people walking up hills etc. The fast track package just appears to guarantee a parking space... realistically it can't be that hard to park at Goodwood - a place that hosts an event that sees over 200,000 visit over a weekend.

I'm about to return my Strada 1200 as it just keeps cutting out. I wouldn't trust the charge % displayed or the run time until you've used it for a while. I'd recommend always having a back-up to hand in the short term.
I remember seeing you wrote that before, as with you I've been a bit of an Exposure fan so was surprised to hear that. I did wonder if the newer ones had a better beam pattern as I fear the old one may be dazzling for oncoming riders even when pointing down a bit and on dip. I'll stick with my old one then.

Thus far, it’s not missed a beat, it’s mostly used on the commute old MTB where it’s mostly on low bar the parks where I knock up to full, the remote I love, since I can easily dip/full beam on a whim. And since it’s mostly on low it lasts quite a few days, before it drops too low for comfort. The run time does drop, but not unexpectedly so, loose a few % on cold days.

Since it’s the 600 it’s it doesn’t have the power that my older light did/has but bar one section that’s fine since I mostly don’t need it.

Nearly bought an Exposure Strada 900 from Cycle Republic but didn't like the look of it cause of the size and had concerns about it fitting in the cockpit on the front of the bike so went with a Joystick MK12 that came down from £139.99 instore to £111.99 on their website then dropped further to £100.76 with BC membership :D
As I have to take my bike up and down stairs to get into my flat I've smashed the rear reflector off the rear guard again so have bought some High Intensity Reflective Tape in red to replace it.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

A mahoosive thankyou to NitrousOxide for DM'ing me with the reduced price on the Boardman Hybrid Pro.

£1000, down to £800, then with my BC discount, and work discount, that comes down to £640 - plus, as it's a display model (We'll ignore I was the first person to ride it), they have offered me 10% of the value (£80) to use on accessories - so I make that a take home price of effectively £560 :D
Should be picking up this Wednesday.

Blackburn Outpost seat pack holster and dry bag from CRC. Looking forward to some light bikepacking once I've got a good lightweight sleeping bag and sleeping mat sorted.

Also got a Berghaus Peak 3.1 Pro tent for £100 last weekend (trail weight only 1.6kg) which fits easily in the new Topeak handlebar harness system I picked up at a bargain price from Merlin just after Christmas. Only paid £37 for it and reckon it's a great design.

WTB Resolute 700c 42mm from R2 bike. Oh, and an Ultegra 11-30 cassette

If the Resolute clear the stays on my Vitus, which they should do, it becomes semi monster cross. Oh, got the tan walls too.

probably should have gone under rants initially but i was out riding at the weekend. up and out the door at 06:30 for a planned 100 miler to Brighton and back.

20 miles in and a lack of concentration led to me losing the front wheel and falling off the bike and totalling spanging my Mavic Kysirium Elite's. End of ride and had to 'phone a friend' to get him to pick me up. the other four riders headed off to complete the ride.

Given I am planning on riding this bike at the end of the month for the Flanders sportive I have just splashed out on:

    - a new to me set of Fulcrum Racing Quattro LG wheels. Not as nice as the Ksyriums but given they are half decent I was more than happy to give a mate £60 for the two of them and he even left a newish looking cassette on the rear!
    - a new Canyon mech hanger no 25. £18 plus seven quid postage makes it a bit expensive but at least it did it's job and protected my expensive 11 speed Ultegra rear mech and even more expensive crabon Canyon Ultimate frame
    - a new set of rubber. Conti GP4000sii's in 28mm to give me a bit of comfort on the cobbles

Gave the CX bikes their post-season rebuild at the weekend. You can never find this stuff when you need it (which is generally 10pm on a Saturday evening in late November), so time to restock:

    4 10-speed chains
    3 mech hangers
    2 pairs of jockey wheels
    8 pairs of brake pads
2 pairs of bottom bracket bearings
    Pannier, 120rpm.
