A bargain at £23 too on eBay, brand new.

Mine lasted two rides before coming apart. The fact that not all usb cables fit the charge port recess is a bind too.

Exposure TraceR is a much better option and the non-ReakT version can be had for less than £30.

How does it compare with your Castelli pre race jacket, or whatever it was called - the Grey and yellow one that I have too!
By the looks of it, it might be similar to the spesh insulator jacket I have that states it has 100g of primaloft insulation, all be it minus the hood - can't see a figure for the Howies one though.

Not keen, slightly different feel to the Synthe. More like the Foray so slightly looser. Still comfy but not a Synthe replacement for me. So ordered the FireChrome Synthe instead.

Also ordered the never reviewed Assos Mille Winter S7 Jacket

Yo Dan. ^ Its very different to the Castelli jacket. I bought both in medium, and where the Castelli pre-race is tight (almost "race fit" on me), the Howies jacket is certainly a more relaxed fit, Snug, but room for layers underneath if needed. It would be good as a cold weather off-road jacket/commuter jacket as it has reflectives and a long back, but certainly useable off the bike. No way I'd consider wearing the Castelli pre-race off the bike  too short in the body and fitted to be socially acceptable I think. That said, I've got some good use out of the Castelli jacket this winter - great compromise between warmth and breathability, much more so than I was expecting anyway.

I’m a proper Exposure fan boy, have around 8 of their lights.

Only reason I went for the Nebula was to being impressed by them on my night commutes.

    If it’s sh!t, I’ve only lost £23.

while I have a CX bike though a fair bit cheaper, this I hope should be a better byway basher. it brings disks though cable, and more sensible gearing ie 2x9 vs 3v7 where you seem to always end up swapping chainrings!

Its not got huge clearances but the tyres i like tend to be CX rather than big gravel things, slowly swapping saddles and tyres with a vat of tea, hopefully get a spin on it Friday
  • They're ace. Saddle rail mount is also a great addition. They're pretty hard wearing from road spray as well

That's my only gripe with the light, the moulding on the USB cable and port on the light. Got mine mounted on a hybrid version of the saddle mount, top half is Moon bracket and bottom half is a Go-Pro saddle mount for the camera.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Mine lasted just over a year... conveniently just past the period where Moon would care about replacing it. Not great for a £45 light.

Aldi clone lasted a similar amount of time.

A load of tat from planet X.... ;-)

Pod 9 litre saddle pack seems to be the standout - £20 -
    https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CCPDWSB/p ... addle-pack
(worth pointing out that this is now a brand that they own so probably not up to previous high standards...)

This tubeless tape is about a tenth of the price that you usually pay - remains to be seen if it will stick to anything:

Cafe lock for a fiver -
    https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/BLJOIMREL ... -cafe-lock

Then a few other odds and ends which are less exciting.

Funny how little difference there is between Small and Large
    Certainly not £30 worth anyway.
Sad to hear POD are now in that state though.

I have a clone of that lock, and it's a good bit of kit.

    Odd.

I've had mine for about 18 months. First year was well protected from road spray with full guards and has operated without a hitch. Since about November have run it with no protection and still no issues. My neighbour has the same one, never had mudguards and it's been faultless.

One was ideally I was looking for a bike that wouldn’t need a cassette or even chain ring change from the get go, I have no interest in racing but I do use such bikes like MTB lite so lower gears is what is wanted, most of the above bikes are a bit too close to 1K the bike is a 2nd fiddle to my MTB so I wasn’t prepared to spend that much.

Essentially it felt a closer match to what I was likely to do than others I looked at.

Pretty sure you're short a couple of wheels, and some handlebars, and another bike....

 Again, wheels, handlebars ect.. are all coming from my existing bike, the frames are the same except the new one is slightly smaller.

Bottom bracket and tyres will be new. Fortunately both wheelsets I have for the Inflite can be come with 12mm thru axle adapters, and surprisingly the seatposts are the same size (which is great because the Canyon VCLS2.0 seatpost is excellent).
