You are a fan\previous consumer?
What flavour of waffer thing waffer did you go for?
Are they easy\good for eating out on a ride?
Never used them before but they were cheap on CRC so thought about giving them a go.
Pro's: They are quite tasty. The packet can be open easily whilst riding. They are not overly sweet, and I seem to be able to digest them quite easily too.
Cons: They aren't moist so you need water to wash them down. They are partly divided in the middle but I have never been able to separate them whilst riding so I usually give them a couple of bites and put the rest in one of my rear pockets.
For the price they are very good. I would rate the chocolate/peanut ones at 8,5 for flavour. And the Berry Yogurt a 7.
Thankyou kindly, I will go for for some C&P ones too - assuming the berry ones might be more sickly.
No, they aren't really, they are both fairly neutral tasting compared to your standard energy bar. They don't taste as good as the C&P IMO, but still taste good enough.x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

That said, have again concluded I run much hotter than many/most so the Primaloft in this would be likely to be too warm for me. I like that, I've been thinking about it for a while. It's like the Rapha CX one they did a while back.
Thing is, if I turn up to CX wearing that, I then need to place. And that ain't happening. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Ah my mistake, and I pm'd you about this - I thought this was the jacket you had, I know you had a casually type of Castelli, or am I getting confused?
Regrettably have been on a bit of a spree, most of it Castelli based, though in my defence the Perfetto convertible was not to my liking, so that has gone back already.
The Pave for £88, and that fits me, was too good to turn down, and I have an unused Medium to sell later in the year now, so that should be a zero extra cost as it were.
I had to go medium in the above jacket, as that was the only size and one they had left (Though now mysteriously one is back in stock in a medium), with my works 12% discount, eded up at a smidge over £60.
My plan however, is to use it for hikes at the weekend
Rather than for cycling - hope that is not blasphemous......
It may well also get used for school runs, and continuing journeys on into work in the winter months - overkill I appreciate.
They have this one in Small and Medium, which might have fitted better, but the colours leave me, stone cold.
I ordered a Primaloft Mavic jacket several years ago - anyone remember it?
You'll be surprised to know it was black and yellow, yeh I know, and CRC were knocking them out for about a ton, or maybe even less.
It was a good fit, but it was enormous, and imho only for artic conditions (Or for someone who REALLY feels the cold), maybe -10 and beyond, so I sent it back.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

^No, I picked up a different Castelli jacket - more of a CX mid-layer, though used instead of a close-fitting fleece, and not on the bike...
Castelli Pave for £88 is an absolute steal - honestly a great jacket and you should get some good use of it (though you do realise you'd have to leave your turbo at home, and ride outside? ). Given I have the Pave I'm not sure why I went for the Fiandre Extreme the other day, but used it without the arm warmers at the weekend when it warmed up mid-ride and it was ace. If proper rain from the get-go then it'd be the Pave every time I think.

One thing that does confuse me about this jacket, is that the reviews state 'Zippered pocket on chest', but I can see none, unless it is an out of date pic, or it's incredibly well hidden.

Garmin 25.
Well, I've ordered one for what should be £64 from halfruads, but whether I actually go and pick it up and buy it is another matter.
I'm fed up of using strava on the phone, and not having cadence and HRM to go with.Intent on Cycling Commuting on a budget, but keep on breaking/crashing/finding nice stuff to buy.

This incase the Castelli one above is too large.

Hope RX4 brake caliper for the Pinnacle.
Sick of the crappy Shimano M785 on the rear leaking oil all over the pads so they squeal like a cheerleader in a horror movie every time I haven't cleaned them that day. Been bled three times, new pads twice, cleaned incessantly but still have very little grab and oh god, that noise!
Amazingly, the front seems absolutely fine - no problems at all. Weird.0 -

Genesis Datum 20. A penny shy of £1500 in Rutland's sale
I haven't actually bought it, but I've arranged for the company to buy it for a colleague as a long service award, the lucky bugger. Spent nearly 2 hours in there while they fitted him on it, and occasionally digging the salesman out of a hole when he started making carbon sound alarmingly fragile, and the bike trickier to maintain than the International Space Station. He even made lubricating the chain sound difficult! He did persuade him to buy a torque wrench though.
I'm secretly hoping he'll not ride it very much, and I'll be able to take it off his hands in 18 months. Naturally it's the perfect size for me0 -
The last two posts are really irritating. Firstly because I had to go into a Decathlon the other day and they didn't have the non chain whip chain whip in stock and secondly I've worked here forever and didn't get a Datum. :-(0

So this arrived today, together with the LG speedsuit thingy - all in Medium.
Oh and the Small Pave - which fits a treat which is good.
The Jacket is a thing of beauty, and smaller than I imagined, but still not a race fit on me by any means, which is fine, as I wanted something that was more casual - so initial impressions are amahzing, but will wait for the Spesh alternative to rock up tomorrow, and then make a decision back to back.
The speedsuit is also amahzing, and seems to fit very well - going to give it a test on the turbo tonight to make sure (As I bought two, so can send tuther one back if I'm not 100% happy) but initial impressions are excellent.
This is it, still a mega bargain at £81 https://www.evanscycles.com/louis-garneau-course-lgneer-skin-suit-EV292990
The medium fits me well, and I don't think I would want it any smaller - I am currently 64kg, 5ft 10, and they have sizes in stock from Large upwards, so would cater for plenty of people on here I reckon.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

Yes, my "Pre-race insulator" jacket also arrived today. Snugger than expected (given supposed to be worn over other layers), but a nice close fit nonetheless. Can see it being a go to jacket when proper cold. Chuffed to see reflectives on the back too, as well as the standard three rear pockets, so ok for use on the bike, not just at the start line waiting for an event to kick-off!
The Narcisista shoe covers aren't bad either - pleased to see they're the "any road" version so work with road shoes and MTB shoes. Surely the correct way to test a speedsuit is ride to an achievable power for say 10 miles in your normal shorts and jersey, then get changed and repeat the same course to same power in the same aero (or not) stance on the bike... Outside!
And more importantly, will it make you quicker up hills of say 6% and 1.1 miles long?================

aha, it definitely is, however as I am riding the turbo tonight anyway, it gives me a chance to check the fit and comfort, and if not 100% happy send the unworn back for a refund.
Not convinced it is a £280 item, or whatever the RRP is, but easily well in excess of a ton, compared to other brands.
I'l have two fans on me tonight, so it could still prove more aero ;-)
I reckon on a 1.1 mile climb, it could potentially shave 1-2 seconds off!

Oh, this thread is ace! Must block it at the firewall, before it ruins the family savings faster than a fixed odds betting terminal.
I went to LBS today to pick up a new chain, Park's mini chain tool and new overshoes (Endura Road). And of course, since one always forgets something, I ended up getting a replacement for my defunct rear light on Wiggle, through an ad-link for a blog I read.0 -
My Gabba 3 and Perfetto Light 2 were delivered yesterday.
Both lovely bits of kit.
Got both in an XL (6ft 88kg) and pretty happy with the fit. Perfetto is slightly tighter than the Gabba, could have maybe got the Gabba in a large, but keeping the XL. Both are certainly aero enough, hate baggy gear.
Rode in the Perfetto this morning (8 degrees), combined with a mesh base layer and arm warmers, it was a perfect combo. Very happy with my purchase.
Just need it to get proper grim now so I can try out the Gabba......0
