Good news on ze book, I will have to get it off the shelf and try some recipes - perhaps we need a thread for recipe reviews somewhere?

I have just ordered this Gabba 2 for 50 notes - good job it's not a Gabba 3, I could never wear it with that red stripe across the front :?

I'm bored of my plain white shoes so thought I'd go a bit brighter with the new pair...

New shoes and pedals. After 15 years of SPDs I'm giving SPD-SLs a go. The polar opposite of the Bonts above; sombre matt black Specialized jobs.

Keep your eyes on the classifieds and look out for my first 'what's causing my knee pain' post...

I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles
  • Like many others, I guess, a Castelli Perfetto Convertible.

It's really nice. I know how it will perform. Arms are interesting, double protection, naturally, at the top. Very tight Gabba fit on the short sleeve part, slightly relaxed fit on the fit on arms. Tidy.

Went through everything on the Kinesis which needed replacing now or in the very near future, and the time it would have taken to fit everything (badly).

Literally cheaper to buy a new (second hand) bike.

    So that's what I did.

Cheap it is not eh! Where did you source yours from if you do not mind me asking?

£50 squids on Amazon but I googled game shops near me, and found a shop I didn't know was there! £35

    http://www.lostarkgames.com/

Ta for that, now out of stock as was an ebay seller who also had it for the same price. Guess it will be £50 for the forseeable future!

    £30.59 here

    http://www.firestormgames.co.uk/flamme- ... gIu2fD_BwE

    Not sure about shipping etc.

I haven't played a game yet, will give a report back when done.

Your google skills are clearly superior to mine!
Thank you for that, duly ordered, free delivery was for orders over £40, but was less than £3.

    Nice one, happy gaming!

Unfortunately, and just to warn anyone else, they can not get any more stock from their distributor - just been refunded :-(
Might wait til the end of the year, and see if I can pick it up with the expansion pack.

These are now going for £75-£77 on ebay now, from resellers
If anyone sees one for less than £40, would be very grateful if they could PM me.

Probably do not really have a need for this but I do love the colour, and it is the convertible one.

Already have an old school Gabba ls in Cannondale colours, but this for a smidge over £100 I was too tempted by.

In contrast to most other people who have bought one, I have decided to send mine back.

Was a bit dissapointed with the fit of the sleeve on the arm, but would probably have lived with it, but the deal breaker for me, was that the extra layer to provide the convertible element, made it feel (to me) like I had some rucked up material on both upper arms. At first I thought it was because I had tried it on over a polo shirt and that was the cause, but it felt identical over a proper fitted jersey, so no go for me. Possible it was too big for me, but it's a small and they go no smaller so......

Small Gabba 2 SS jersey arriving today, hoping that will be more suitable for me - less than half the price too :D

    It's just you :D

The base part is Gabba so it has quite tight sleeves, or at least mine are. I'd say the outer is a bit tighter than the old quite loose Gabba (1) longsleeve, a better fit but not aero. For me both together are fine BUT, when you pull it off wearing the outer sleeve you have to push everything back in again as the short sleeve pulls through. A bit like a glove with an inner.

Aliante VS in the best colours - thinking of trying it on my Synapse for longer rides, combined with my Save seatpost.

Wowsas! Maybe the saddle Bertie used then?!

At least it is second hand, but near mint, so should be easy enough to shift if doesn't suit my @rse.

Got a new Gore Oxygen jersey for £37 after work vouchers and £5 off from Evans. Last one too!

Some of my jerseys are in pretty bad state after years not buying any (in particular my 2 ShuttVR jerseys which I have had for more than 5 years)

Also got a new FSA SL-K seatpost for my SuperSix after my original Cannondale carbon jobbie failed. Not sure why. May be I tightened a bit too much one time. £50 from Tredz

And High5 energy source and Powerbar waffers from CRC.

Never used them before but they were cheap on CRC so thought about giving them a go.

Pro's: They are quite tasty. The packet can be open easily whilst riding. They are not overly sweet, and I seem to be able to digest them quite easily too.
Cons: They aren't moist so you need water to wash them down. They are partly divided in the middle but I have never been able to separate them whilst riding so I usually give them a couple of bites and put the rest in one of my rear pockets.

For the price they are very good. I would rate the chocolate/peanut ones at 8,5 for flavour. And the Berry Yogurt a 7.
