Needs to HTFU
Been 4 degrees when I've set off in the morning most days this week. Wouldn't class these as winter gloves as they're not insulated at all, just a step warmer than fingerless.
In mitts today, mind - beautiful day here.0 -

Sram s500 tt shifter, £35 from Planet X - rear only. Helpful advice over on the Workshop section confirmed this should work with a new 11sp Apex 1 rear derailleur as both are "Exact Actuation". Plan is to finally convert my single speed gravel bike to 1 x 11, with this as a bar end shifter (bike already has Hylex hydro disc brakes, so no brifters wanted or needed). The new Apex RDs are pre-order only at the moment, so thought I'd best bag this shifter as hadn't seen them at this low price for ages. Let the acquisition of essential parts begin....
May try this with a cheap narrow wide chainring before splashing out for a new chainset...apparently the Hunt Adventure 650b wheels will fit, so also tempted by those with the new WTB Byway gravel tyres. Replacement lenses for my Oakley Flak Jackets. I've had them. For six years now and they are chipped and scratched but they are prescription so I put up with it.
I've ridden all winter with no glasses and I've restarted on contact lenses so now I could get standard lenses. Bargain. I think the changes in my astigmatism would have ruled out new prescription anyway.Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX

Selle Italia Novus Flow L2 saddle for the new Solace. Just under 50 quid from Highonbikes....as used on my CR1, find it pretty comfy, and at 146mm wider than the stock 135mm Scott saddle. Toss up between this or lighter tyres, but the stock Durano's will probably now get changed next month!Titus Silk Road Ti rigid 29er - Scott Solace 10 disc - Kinesis Crosslight Pro6 disc - Scott CR1 SL - Pinnacle Arkose X 650b - Pinnacle Arkose singlespeed - Specialized Singlecross...& an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4 string...0

I have totally fallen in love with this jersey, so much so, and because hardly any buggers stock it in my size or at all come to that, I actually had to pay FULL price - yes I know! I may have it done it once before in the last 10 years, but these occurences are far and few between.

I have a couple of the Entrata 1 jerseys and love them - both the styling and the performance (really good when its hot). Only thing I dont like is the 'raw edge' bit on the arms makes it more effort to take off once its got a bit sweaty.
Looks nice in the green!
I got it in blue and red (paid about £45 each...):

Ludicrous policy that requires you to log in just to view the site for sport pursuit. They will never get any business from me no matter how good their jerseys are.0 -
Ah I know ap, it was you who convinced me to get the grey one with a yellow zip, and very nice it is too.
Know what you mean about the sleeve grippers.

I am interested in this - what makes these two better than the others in your wardrobe that fit well and are also great? They look pretty plain and dont seem to have anything different about the technical design. The Rivelo looks to have either an aggresively short front or a very long tail (cant tell from pics) but apart from that they dont seem to offer anything to set them apart from the rest out there? There must be something about them to make you single them out but I cant work out what that might be?0 -

Comfort. The Rivelo stands out because it's not mesh, it's lycra. So it's clingy, and if you get the right size the fit will be great because it will stretch so much better than others. The pockets are nice too. It's just an all round comfy thing, and I think that's the most important issue. I'd say that the Rivelo has a long back, as you say, rather than a short front. Indeed, it's quite a long jersey but doesn't bunch around the waist.
The Chapeau isn't as comfortable in the body, being mesh, but the sleeves are more (thin) lycra like. It's just a very good execution. I did 120 miles in it on Saturday from 5 degrees up to about 20 and it performed very well. The Chapeau one is a little shorter.

I still dont get this, genuinely. ALL my jerseys are comfortable - I wouldnt have bought them if they werent. Generally, they are all comfortable to the point that I dont really notice so I couldnt really get one which is more comfortable. And that includes DHB basic jerseys I have which cost about £12 and arent full zip (which actually does increase comfort if I think about it but I never notice on the bike).
The only real difference in performance/comfort I find is how warm/insultaing/breathable they are. I have some which are better for cooler days and some (like the Entrata above here) which are super breathable for hot days. Other than that, the only difference I find is that a couple dont have as deep pockets as the others.
Other than different warmth factors, jerseys to me are driven by how they look. And the Rivelo and Chapeau look naff to me (some might argue 'classic, understated' but I say 'bland'). And I am not sure that the Rivelo being more clingy and stretched out would be good for me - presumably that means it shows your body shape and all the less desirable bits for the world to see...!0 -

I've got 3 (started with 5) in a drawer in the garage for that exact reason - after showing my one to a colleague they asked for one, and I'm about 40 mile round trip to DC so picked them up while returning some unused winter wear a few months ago so didn't fancy making many more trips.
