The Pro Team soft-shell gloves and my go to.

Mix with merino liners for the cold days, and you have an very warm and extremely dexterous pair of gloves.

Thanks Ryan - I noticed there seem to be more than the odd review that stated the seam or stitching inside the left hand glove was rather uncomfortable, is that something you have experienced at all?
Not an issue if you have liners on I guess, but did seem a bit weird, unless they have addressed it since those reviews.

They don't have great internal stictchig but they're completely wearable.
Being perfectly honest, I wear mine 95% of the time with liners, not due to the stitching, just since they work so well together.

Raleigh light rack mount thing twice since they appear to accept moon lights, and are 1/4 the price.

I'm guessing you bought this one.

    LAA885.jpg

My rack only has a central bolt hole so won't fit, I bought a Moon belt clip bracket and clipped it over the rear plate and put a cable tie through the bottom, with it in place the release tab is nigh on impossible to release.

    LAA553.jpg
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
  • Popped into Criterium at Edinburgh today for a Park valve core tool.
It was out of stock so ended up with

    Nanoflex Bib Knickers
Perfetto long sleeve in flouro yellow (oh my gosh, it`s lovely )
Castelli velocissimo long sleeve in Ruby red

I really shouldn`t be allowed in that shop at all.

Yeah, that's the one. I tried the ziptie solution, as well as bastardising a seat rail mount, but didn't like the result as it placed it just above the line of the removal slide of the trunk bag, (top peak dxp thing), so had to remove the light to remove the bag, or more often that not, forget and break it, dropping the light on concrete...

    2x Btwin 500 road bibs
    1x Btwin 500 windproof Jersey.
    1x Btwin tool bottle &cage.
    And
    1x Btwin pedal spanner
    1x btwin chain whip

First ever bibs, but for the price they made sense compared to the endura tights, which are going back.

When I wear the lot,I'm sure I'll just be a riding advertisement for them, and feel like I've been splattered with their effulence.

Well, jackets (2xl &3xl) are going back. The length of the back in them shows they are designed for very short, wide peeps.
Bibs are, I think, a bit too tight, have an acceptable length, however for £19.99 for a warm winter tight, it's acceptable for the few days I'll use them, as only ride 30mins each way.

Cannondale Supersix Evo Hi-Mod 2016 Frameset

Initially, I wanted something with a longer HT (Domane,Synapse etc) so not sure what I've done, but hopefully it'll be fun :D

Will need a pf30 to 24mm adapter for Shimano chainset. Anyone found a good option non creaking plz let me know.

I have used rotor, praxis and more recently c-bear (for BB30a) all without issue

I've been educating myself with BB30A availability to fit Shimano. It's not as straight forward as I'd hoped but there are options which is a relief. Thanks.

I think it's funny that people worry about not buying disc brake bikes because no standard has been agreed when people put up with all these crazy BB standards...

Indeed, I must admit I would always look for a screw in BB. Tales of creaking press fit and ease of home maintenance are the main reasons for me. Also wouldn't particularly want internal cable routing to avoid faff at some point in the future.

My Stock FSA PF30 bottom bracket creaked, but after having it changed to a higher quality Wheels Manufacturing one, there is no creaking..
I'm using a SRAM Red 22 crankset on otherwise Shimano group to avoid using any adaptor, since it comes in BB30 version.

I only acquired a pressfit Shimano BB because that's what my bargain CR1-SL frameset came with. Which was handy since I had a Shimano chainset to fit. So far, so silent and smooth though, so I'm not complaining!

Internal cables though? It all sounds like a lot of faff just to make the bike look a bit tidier. I've heard of internal guide tubes coming adrift or becoming blocked and rendering frames useless. I'm sure the majority of internally cabled bikes are fine, but I'm just not the gambling type. Why make life more difficult than it needs to be??

Back OT, I just bought a second rear light!

You can get the slightly uneven adaptors for BB30a bearings to Shimano Hollowtech II from Chainreaction. They are similar to the standard adaptors but one is narrower. Will try to dig out link - I have a Dura Ace Crankset in my Synapse and it is wobble and squeek/creak free at present.

BTW hope the Super6 Hi-mod is great when you build it up - I love the Synapse Hi-mod that I got/built last year

found it - although I think the price has gone up

Thanks. If it's as good as the reviews then I'll be more than happy :)

I had a look at the adaptors and I may go down that route first. Ideally, I'd prefer a one piece bottom bracket, but at the moment both Rotor & Praxis don't have one for BB30a, and C-Bears is a tad expensive when I need to buy other bits for the build.

finally tracked down a supplier of nitrate gloves with finger grips, excellent quality unlike the cheap baggy ones that rip when putting on.

bits a bobs ordered to replace so many little broken or worn parts, it all adds up £££

This what I first used on my BB30a Synapse before going down the route of the C-Bear BB. I still have them after they were removed from my bike and they worked faultlessly for the 6 or so months they were fitted. You are welcome to try them.

Haven't seen them that price for a long time, £20 when I looked recently, so plumped just for cleats for £8.

    Bought a pair of these:

    http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/PXLGWL/pla ... nter-glove

Not entirely convinced, I find that my hands actually get quite sweaty (not a problem with my SealSkinz) and they've got no padding in them at all so they're not really like cycling gloves. Probably great for skiing though.
