You guys are very rude

Anyway, it's Newbury Road Club ITB.

Additionally, I may have purchased these:
£200 down to £100, but I had a £60 Castellicafe voucher that needed using, so only £40!

I will as a result, be selling a spare San Remo speed suit I picked up last year.

And a perfetto gilet for £50:

I also have a £60 voucher burning a hole in my virtual pocket. Do I need a green speedsuit in my life?

I think you most definitely do!

I was pretty much forced to, as I have 2 Green dales, one of which is that colour.

Slightly annoyed they changed the loyalty stamps into a voucher code that expires, so this was a way of venting......
    Kind of

Incidentally, the Gilet and some other Cannondale bargains, mostly 50% off, are at Evans.

So I have my hands on the PBK Pave - sadly what I thought was a small mark on the shoulder is actually a tear in the top layer fabric, exposing the layer underneath, which is white.

Full of concerns now, as have heard that The Hut's customer service is far from ideal.

Logged on first of all to check they still had stock, which they did, and as a bonus it had come down in price - so re-ordered straight away.
Spoke to them on their online chat, explained the situation, and sent the pic in - they have approved the return, and sent me the pdf with the form, and address etc to send it to, and asked me to use sufficiant insured postage, ie over £100.
What I am still not 100% sure on is how they will refund the postage, so have sent another message back.
I thought the returns form might include a postage paid label, but it does not, so have asked how they refund it (I assume they will as it is damaged, and I guess to the original payment card) and if there is a limit to what they will refund.

Anyone else had a faulty item to return to them recently?

So far so good though, the online message centre thing seems pretty slick, and the chap I spoke to on live chat was seemingly very helpful.

Was bought for me by a fellow AD6er (we share the same birthday - I'm an hour older than him) - really nice quality t-shirt - as I know a few of you like cycling-themed tees

Softshell-gloves-black winter gloves down from £50 to £15 in their current sale. Desperately trying to resist going for various other items (their "Gabba" weather jersey down from £140 to £50, including matching arm warmers - reviewed very well today on road.cc)

PLANET X carnac aero helmet for £18, arrived today. Looks very decent for the price.
Titus Silk Road Ti rigid 29er - Scott Solace 10 disc - Kinesis Crosslight Pro6 disc - Scott CR1 SL - Pinnacle Arkose X 650b - Pinnacle Arkose singlespeed - Specialized Singlecross...& an Ernie Ball Musicman Stingray 4 string...
  • The scale and volume of their reductions do worry me somewhat!

PX, or Vulpine (or both)? Both may be in difficulty I guess, but Vulpine certainly seem to offering huge discounts on what were marketed as "premium" items of kit. I managed to benefit last time they did their flash sale (nice merino hoodie, and their Primaloft gilet in Dutch orange, great items both of them). Clearly need to offload excess stock quick. Thankfully the transaction experience is smoother than the last sale ...

  • Vulpine, but, well PX as well I guess. It's a big drop for premium stuff, you'd be quite annoyed if you'd paid full whack.

I ordered the " fortress " jersey and arm warmers from vulpine last week at the discounted price of £70 ( I paid £63 after singing up to newsletters and getting a 10% discount ) and think it's a bargain at the price. That said I'm basing my view on feel and fit and haven't worn it on the bike yet. I noticed they'd reduced it further so being a tight northerner asked if they could price match and they've sent me a great reply with a voucher for the difference. I implied I was interested in buying the roubaix jersey which might have helped!*

    * I've just bought the roubaix jersey for £25!

A further online chat to PBK has revealed a pre-paid postage link, so far so good.

Bought the Castelli Mortirolo before Christmas but hasn't really been cold enough to use it much. Deployed it today and it was the absolute nuts. Warm as toast, comfortable and not at all restrictive or bulky

I have one too - the reflex version, so I shine like a beacon in car headlights. I can only really use it under 5 degrees, and only with a ss baselayer until around freezing point. The zipped vents on the chest are pretty good at dumping heat, but remember to do them up if you undo them in the morning and then ride home through freezing sleet. If you don't you get a wet and cold chest very quickly.

BTR ,How do they size up? I'm a chunky short @rse, 5'8, 34 in M&s trousers, 29 inside leg, 40-41 chest...struggled with the last lot of bib shorts, usually a medium in DHB but the last bib shorts I tried had to go back ridiculously tight.
  • Just bought some of the Vittoria latex inner tubes, so much better that the Michelin Aircomps.

    Would recommend
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles

Inspired by a very silly thread on Road Beginners (about whether you need to wear a helmet when riding indoors):

For grabbing stuff while on the turbo. Once I sort out my ceiling-mounted articulated monitor stand, my shed/office/workshop/turbo room is going to be a sight to behold.

Turned up, spot on fit. Oozes quality.

And, guess what, windtex again. Not a winter jacket though, or, if you like 3.5 season as long as it doesn't drop below say 3 degrees. But I'll test and confirm.
