  • Camelbak mule 2010 and some specialized body geometery gloves 8)
  • Some reasonably priced photochromic sunglasses.

I tried on some Specialized ones for three times the price and the styling was terrifyingly aggressive. The Endura Angel styling is more restrained. 8)
Never be tempted to race against a Barclays Cycle Hire bike. If you do, there are only two outcomes. Of these, by far the better is that you now have the scalp of a Boris Bike.

Got my very first Road Bike today - from the wonderful people at Southdowns Bikes. Felt I should reward their good service by purchasing one of their S/S Jerseys. (nothing to do with the fact I loved the colour at all !!)

Hold up! That's my LBS! Which branch?

Edit: Much more importantly, which bike?
Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.

Credit card took a hammering last night. Got a pair of ShuttVR pro bids on Tuesday and realised I have no decent tops, so purchased:

Grabbed a few accessories as well: Bloc Predator's and Lezyne Road Drive

Finished off by ordering a new choke cable for the other motorized bike.

I can feel a new white helmet (catlike??), matching arm warmers & mitts been purchased very soon :P

My usual commuting outfit, in both long and short sleeved.

I've just taken delivery of two pairs of Endura FS260 Aerogel mitts from Rutland Cycles, which is odd because I never completed the order with them.

Their ecommerce system kept refusing my card details (assume it was borked) so I abandoned the order and purchased elsewhere. Obviously they have picked up the incomplete order and processed it anyway.

I really want to send them back because they have been cheeky farkers, but that's hassle and will cost me postage which they will probably refuse to pay and I'll have to argue over it. Besides, you can never have too many mitts.

Came past Evans in town tonight and had my debit card in my pocket, went in and took it out and left £45 lighter in the bank after completing the purchase of a Foska Road tax SS jersey.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

A ShuttVR Sportive jersey in Black/Grey/White from their clearance offer.

The service from thse guys is just awesome - Pete (miggers on here, I think) was still exchanging emails with me at 11:30 last night to make sure everything went through - couldn't recommend them highly enough and that is before I get to the quality of the gear...just AWESOME!!

Going to take a while to get used to commuting with these... feet great on first impressions except my feet will take a while to get used to them, as will some of the muscles in my lower legs I think - the alignment seems a little different overall.

Most difficult thing is obviously clipping in - can't feel the darn pedal at all, through the process of rotating it around / hooking in. Can only tell I'm in when you hear that reassuring click

an expensive two days for me :(

went and bought a number belt for my triathlon last night, along with loads of energy products. £23 gone.

today riding to work my rear tyre burst, not the inner tube but quite a substantial hole in a 10 day old gp4000s. had to buy a new one at lunch £37.99 would normally have waited to get one online but triathlon on monday meant i was restricted to buying over the counter.

That doesn't sound right - have you got in touch with Continental? Sounds like there's the possibility that's a duff one (though not heard of much in the way of Continentals failing tbh)

Cateye Micro Wireless - in White, with a Red racing stripe - matches my new Trek perfectly!

    4649613191_c5b01d3b09_b.jpg

Chris Boardman Helmet - (colour does not match my new bike unfortunately) The only helmet in the shop that fitted me perfectly. Which I guess is the most important thing!

ALSO got some DHB bib shorts and MUC-OFF cleaner, a Super Patch and some Dry Lube.

    Has been an expensive day!

Loving the new bike though and can't wait to get the computer fitted to start tracking my progress.

    Mmm, hydrationy.

And a big thumbs down to the nob in Cycle Surgery who reinforced my belief that their customer service is crap when he refused to price-match Evans's 10% off claiming it was a web-only deal. Had to drive another 6 miles to the local Evans to prove him wrong...

So far I have just transfered the saddle (selle italia lady) and pedals (look keo sprint) off my trek 1.7 over to it just waiting for the selle italia diva to come back in stock in my size and possibly upgrade to time i-clicks in time. Also would like some deep section rims at some point. No more bike buying for me this is bike number 6.

I tried it on today, lovely helmet although I was not too fond of the silver. found that the specialised ones fitted like a glove, not as compact as the boardman but felt super comfy.

Paid up for it straight away even tho its not in stock at the store in the colour I wanted :P
