Oh and a thumbs up for the previously mentioned bolle safety glasses, very impressed with the adjustable arms and the anti fog that really works.

Oooh - where did you order them from, ITB? Somewhere kosher? I want some too - which did you get?

Re the reflectors - I don't want to break them as I may well use them next winter - commuting through London in the dark and wet I seriously want every advantage I can get in the whole not dying stakes!

    Here you go
    http://www.safetysupplies.co.uk/trolleyed/3/index.htm

I'm just about to order some of the thinner ones, although they dont have the arm adjustment, still they're so cheap why the hell not, saved me today from dozens of potential fly/eye situations.

+1 for those Bolles - got mine off eBay for £7 shipped... Bargain of the Year for me

For those looking for glasses, I picked up a set of these to try: CLICK

No association with the seller, Very happy with them though and build seems better than the Bollé items I have used before. Not quite up to the build of my Oakleys though

My R500 have just arrived, for cheap hoops they don't look that bad, the QR levers look positively early iron age, they have to go. Nearly 28g each heavier than my normal QR, yes yes I weighed them so what!?

Let me know how you get on with these, as I was thinking of switching from Northwave to Specialized!

I already use the basic Specialized shoes and they are more comfortable than my Shimano ones. I mainly use Specialized because they make top of the range shoes for a real size 13 :)

I applied for my free zipvit goodies box, all very nice looking

a couple of energy drinks & bar, recovery drink & bar plus a pack of fish oil capsules and multi vitamins oh and a free water bottle aka bidon.

    All good I think...
Last week I tried the choc flavour recovery drink OMFG I can only liken it to the smell of a babies nappy mixed with water, then there was the taste, sweet jeeeeez who thought that tastes like choc??? even carob tastes better than that, anyway today I tried the energy power which as far as I can tell was just 35g of salt.

Top tip if your going for a ride with a new energy drink try it first, yuk!

About ZipVit got to say the following, it tastes rank but its the best performing stuff there if you do long endurance stuff. I like my Goodness Shakes, Torq and High5 but it doesn't compare to ZipVit IMO.

PS. I don't use ZipVit anymore because of the taste and because I am no pro but I know a few people that race that use this and rate it very highly.

I made the same 'mistake' with Zipvit energy drink.. It was like brine! The bars are good and I did like the choc drink but I added milk and a banana...

Ordered some Salmon Koolstops, from the place in Portsmouth, at 8:40am and the order is still to be processed :( Luckily there is no deperate rush for them as there is plenty of life left on the Ultegra ones on the bike at the mo. Picked up another Zefal bottle on the way home as the Tesco bottle, although cheap, doesn't really fit the cages on my bikes.

    Ordered some cable cutters.
I'm tired of hacking away at cables with pliers.

Considering I have every other tool in the book, including some pretty obscure ones, yes, yes I should already have some.

This morning I tried out my recently bought (off BR Classified)
    Giant Peloton 7200.

This is following the liberation of my Giant Speeder last year.

The seat needs tightening the chain certainly needs a new link, the stem needs re- aligning and some better tyres.

But it was a smashin pootle in.

Just ran this through the Jake the Snake, I am now a convert. Used to use Finish Line but this is the first time I've ever actually felt a difference from using a lube. Will run it through the Stumpjumper in the morning.

Got another one over Evans with their price match promise. Went in with the intention of buying a Park HTII BB tool and Muc Off degreaser which I purchased but cause of the pricematch got a Ice Toolz brush less then FOC . If the queue was moving quicker I wouldn't have had time to get the lesser prices from Wiggle.

I was after a Timbuk2 bag but couldn't justify the price and was on holiday in Wareham recently with Charlie's bike shop by the seaside near so I popped in and explained the dilema, luckily he had a bag a customer had returned due to a velcro pad missing. Mine for £30  1/2 price.

The daughter got me a wheel from the local rcycling centre (was after a disc only wheel as I'm building my youngest an MTB from an ebay buy and sundry bits out of my box of spares) and she brought home a shimano 475 hub with Sun equaliser rim, 1kg versus my current 1.3Kg spesh MTB rim, needless to say the duaghter now has the spesh wheel....not bad for £4 and needing 1 spoke and truing!

Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

Got my very first Road Bike today - from the wonderful people at Southdowns Bikes. Felt I should reward their good service by purchasing one of their S/S Jerseys. (nothing to do with the fact I loved the colour at all !!)

You should have got that for free, all the advertising they will be getting.

The same goes for Wiggle's own S/S jerseys, who's gonna buy a S/S with Wiggle stamped on it .
