I have been looking for the top tube bag for a while :-) ordering now along with a saddle bag.

Been an expensive month so far :P

    So far:
Raleigh Flyer, Front wheel, Tyres x 2 (Rubino pros), Tubes x 4, Rim Tape, Bar Tape, Headset - I am sure theres more..... I literally just have to sort out the cranks and get it powder coated... which may need to wait a little while first :D
FCN: 5/6 Fixed Gear (quite rapid) in normal clothes and clips :D

One of these for when the summer arrives and I can go out on the bike for longer rides and take all the stuff I need to carry, might be a little big but I'd rather too big than too small.

I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    A lifeline track pump.

Means I can finally get my tyres on my Spec Dolce inflated again after my old pump came apart and deflated them nicely.

So is there a velodrome trip planned or is everyone just going more fakenger?

I'm going to go soon, I missed out on the lfgss one as I wanted to use my bike... not I can (once I get it sorted)

Come to Reading!! Half an hour on the train from Paddington - I'll meet you at the station and ride you all down there.

Monday nights is Track League (where I race very badly)

To race you'd need a BC Licence with Silver Membership, your own track bike (fixed wheel only, no brakes, lockring) and pay the fees.

Tuesday's is an open road bike session - so you need brakes.

Thursday's is track training sessions at the moment - so coached sessions for track bikes only. They have hire bikes for a 5iver.

If you're a complete beginner (i.e. never ridden fixed) they'll set you off on the running track to get you used to riding. If you're ok with fixed, they'll probably throw you into the group to warm up behind the derny, then onto drills.

Drills range from derny pacing to practice sprints (200m flying, 500m standing start) we practice points races etc. too. Quite a variety, and good fun (when you're not blowing out your ar5e).

At the LBS on Saturday a Le Col shirt with the MDCC logo on as they are the new shirt sponsor. Pair of DHB finchdean shorts in Red, and a set of shimano cleats for my new SIdi Ergo 2 Carbons. Also LBS (Colin-Lewis) has rung informing me that my bike is ready. Which is me just about set for L2P next week.

Man, I've had that jersey for three months and now everyone is getting it. I'm going to have to find a different one now.

Living out in the countryside I see so few other riders (more than three other people on bikes for the whole journey counts as busy) that there's very little risk of having the same outfit as anyone else. You want to try moving out of that smelly crowded city ;)
The above is a post in a forum on the Intertubes, and should be taken with the appropriate amount of seriousness.
  • Not very interesting, but I've just ordered new pivot bearings for my Orange 5 :)

See, I told you it wasn't very interesting.
Of course, trying to fit the darn things could be more interesting... :?

Lets hope so, i haven't had a chance to try them out. They are ridculously light for inner tubes.

I think if you buy them from a shop they'll supply the brakes, normally at cost.
