Clicky the link. They're also available in white, which are the ones I bought. ;)

Ok, the liners and toe mesh are black on this model, which is my sop to practicality

Was wondering why my brakes were screaming yesterday.
Checked them, the pads are nearly dead.
Stupid shimano pads, they've covered less than 1k miles before needing replacing!
    Anyway, ordered koolstop%20v%20pads%20dual.jpg

The Shimano 550s are both crap and broken.

Actually the zxelliums are holding up quite well but the yellow liner and the mesh is starting to look grubby. Boo

    That might be the truth!
The strange thing is: I don't have that kind of problem on other bikes.
Might also be due to the poor rim surface of the commuter's?
Anyway, all in all I don't know, I just know I need to change those bloody pads!

You're right, it's a stupid idea to convince yourself not to buy one now you've given it this much thought.

    Do it.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

I've got one of them. Bit flappy but very good. Looks ok off the bike too.

I think I should have bought a medium.

That's what I bought - my Phantom softshell is a medium so I was a little unsure whether to go for a large or not in case it came up a bit smaller with no room for anything underneath...glad I didn't having now worn it. In case anybody is wanting to buy and wondering what size to go for I'd class myself as pretty average - 34" waist and 40" chest.

If anybody else is after one, Evans will price match The Bike Chain up in Edinburgh who are doing it for £104.00 instead of Evans' £134.99 - lovely saving of 23%!

The Bike Chain have currently got small, medium and extra large in stock in lemon (yellow) but reckon Evans' arm may be able to be twisted for the other sizes.

If you want the ninja look, Tredz have got small and medium black versions for only £93.99!

Does anyone else think that cycle clothing is disproportionately over priced?

If anyone says it's because of the design and special materials I will come over there and slap you in the face with my overshoe (Castelli natch!) :P

Of course it is. So are cars, so is anything where there is presumed cachet in owning the marque. Oh well *logs back into wiggle*

I don't think of cars as overpriced, well maybe except high-end luxury models.

When you consider the tolerances that cars and engines are built to it's quite impressive - fractions of a mm for a £15k car but happy to pay £10k for a conservatory built about an 2" to spec.

Then a car contains seating as comfortable as your sofa but it seats five, it's got a great sound system with more speakers than you probably have at home, oh air conditioning, and more 'gadgets than you can throw a stick at'. It's deemed poor quaility if it fails to start once in 5 years, and if you drive it into a wall at 30mph you would expect to hoepfully climb out alive.

That's a lot to expect, and get, for the price of 3 or 4 top end bikes.

+1. Definitely not a stupid idea to buy one. I'm glad I finally succumbed, it's a great bit of kit.

Also, that woman's legs are freakishly wide apart. And she has very skinny thighs. I doubt she could ride a bike...

    She looks photoshopped to me...badly.

Work stand. No more balancing the bike upsidedown and getting water/oil/grime all over the grips and saddle when cleaning.

Another Mavic Sprint jersey since I liked the blue one so much.
